Aleks was never really close to his parents, therefore he never really adored his mother as much as most kids do. As a kid, he was a little clingy, but he lost that by the time he was 14. He pulled away from them. - Gavin Carmichael, father
Aleks' father is the moneymaker, and gave Aleks everything he wanted. However, he came to resent his father as he grew due to his superficial nature. He never really had a good relationship with his father, either.
PERSONALITY
Aleks has ADD, or Attention Deficit Disorder. For this reason, Aleks is constantly moving. He'll pick something up, put it down, start speaking, forget to finish speaking, look up, down, stare off into the distance, come back, take out a book, read a sentence AND put it away all in a few minutes. His fingers or toes often are tapping or twitching if he can't get up and move. He has trouble focusing on normally easy tasks. He often acts impulsive, although unlike some patients with ADD, he never was aggressive. Most of the time, he just makes a decision faster than he can say what he wants to do. Often his thoughts are fuzzy and muddled, and he can't remember or concentrate on things. He's constantly moving and thinking and cannot complete tasks well.
Aleks is a different person on medication, however. When he takes medication, he can slow his thoughts enough to actually be able to function. He still has a quiet buzzing in the back of his brain, but he can dull it a little. It doesn't take away his symptoms but merely makes them less of a priority in the tight network of his brain. Sometimes he likes to take his medication, as it's less frustrating to him to be able to focus, but sometimes he decides he doesn't want to and is his silly, uncontrollable self.
He's actually quite a genuine person, once you can get past his ADD. He's forgiving and kind, and he's a people person. He would much rather be in a crowded room than alone in an empty room because he doesn't feel the need to fill the empty space with noise and movement. Although, it can intimidate people that he usually acts on impulse because he won't think of the consequences of his actions and he'll say something brutally honest. He doesn't mean to be, well, mean, but sometimes it just comes out. As for relationships, well, he hasn't had many. He has trouble keeping interest in conversations. When it's a challenge to keep interest in just talking to a girl, it's kind of hard to keep interest in dating a girl too.

PHYSICAL APPEARANCE
Aleks is part Russian, so he has very defined features. His face has a lovely shape to it, and he has dark blue eyes, dark hair and the typical Russian pale skin. His eyes, although they are a dark blue colour, are not as noticable as you would think. Because he's always moving his head and looking around, Aleks' eyes are never in one place. You're a very lucky person if he focuses on you, unless he finds you extremely interesting. He also has a bit of a baby face. For a twenty year old boy, his features could probably be that of sixteen year old. He is one of those people you would say are "ID'd for life".
As for his body, well, it's altogether pretty unimpressive. As working out isn't really his forte, he doesn't really have much muscle. He's got a tall and skinny frame. Aleks is, by definition, lanky. His height doesn't help the fact that he can be uncoordinated. As for the clothes he puts on that lanky body of his, well, they reflect him as a person. He hardly ever matches, and most of the time his clothes are ripped or something he happened to pick up at a thrift store. He hardly has the patience to do the laundry, so often his clothing looks like he just slept in it.
He has no tattoos. He would like to get one but he's not exactly confident in his ability to sit still for the tattoo artist to draw on him, and he couldn't have a half-finished tattoo on his body. He has never dyed his hair, and never intends to. He has a few scars on his knees and hands, mostly from falling down, tripping, or any other accident he gets himself into. He has no piercings, for the same reason as the tattoos, though he has considered and eyebrow or lip piercing but ruled against it. He has a pretty plain appearance, save for his obvious Russian descendance.
HISTORY
Aleksandr has a very complicated history. His father and his mother fell in love when Katarina was 25 and Gavin was 30. Katarina moved to England from Russia the summer they met, and Gavin's company had just recently taken off. They fell in love easily, and 2 years after they were married, Katarina found out she was pregnant. Gavin, in the same year, became a billionaire. His innovative technologies company was sold, and he became the head honcho of a widescale tech industry. In that time, Gavin let the money go to his head. He bought a mansion and went on a spending spree for his wife and his to-be son. Aleks was born September 18th, and he was a delightful baby. He was given Russian names in honor of Katarina's Russian heritage.
As Aleks grew, although, he began to have trouble in school. He couldn't pay attention and he was getting the lowest of the low marks. It disappointed his wealthy parents, who expected everything of the boy who had money and love. Their only child was becoming a failure. They threw everything they had at him - video games, money, movies, freedom. They tried to give him everything they could to make him give them a good name. He was becoming increasingly interested in the equestrian world, so they bought him horses and riding lessons with the best of the best coaches. But, Aleks was never completely there. When they were talking, he couldn't focus. When he was doing something, he was stop and forget to finish it. They were becoming increasingly angry with him. Punishments followed, causing Aleks to become frustrated.
Aleks, with the trouble in school and at home, began to self medicate. He tried drinking and pot, but neither made the buzz in his head stop and his thoughts slow. After coming home one night high out of his mind, Aleks' parents took him to the best psychologist their money could buy the next morning. After a 3 hour session with the doctor, he was diagnosed with ADD. His parents were extremely relieved that it wasn't just bad parenting or their kid acting out, and they showered him with gifts again. But Aleks turned away from them. They insisted he take medication each day to become the perfect son, but he refused some days.
Instead, Aleks turned to horses. It seemed to be the only thing that could calm his mind and relieve his frustration. He learned showjumping, a skillful sport. It took tons of concentration, and, as the doctor told him, sometimes people with ADD have over-concentration. They can focus so hard on something and forget the world around him. This happened with Aleks. Horses were his escape from family and the anxious nature he had. He convinced his parents to send him to Windsor, a prestigous school for riding. Honestly, he was sure that his parents would love him out of their hair. So, this is where Aleks' story begins.
