OUTFIT IMNOTsurprised not everything lasts Ive broken my so many times I stopped keepin track I talk myself in I talk myself out I get all worked up then I let myself down It was easily concluded by passer-byers that Andrina was enjoying herself at the mall. In fact, judging by the looks of detest and irritation, it was rather annoying to most. As they walked hastily from shore to store, bent on buying in each store, Andy was every managers nightmare. She skipped along in a bright yellow sun dress running in and out of every store simply to oh and ah at all the pretty items. She wasn't really planning to buy anything, which was what really bent most shop owners out of shape. Some of the more expensive places actually kicked her out unless she promised to purchase something. To their dismay she would by something like a simple key chain just to keep them quiet. She'd press her nose up against the beautifully decorated displays and smile at the mannequins in their breath taking outfits. Andy'd even been yelled at for hiding in a closing rack and whispering "Pick me!" at people walked by. You see, Malls were something of a rarity back home where she lived on a huge ranch with only her dad and the horses. She'd only been to one other one and it was faaar smaller in size. She'd just about covered half the stores by this time and was now sitting in one of those vibrating chairs, intentionally talking just to hear her voice shake. She was in the process of dialogging Star Wars when the flash of light on brass caught her attention. It was a music store. A beam spread across her face from ear to ear, Andy had something of an intense love for music, it was right up their with horses. Her father didn't like it, so she never bothered him about buying a piano or such, but she sang a lot when he wasn't around. she made a bee line for the entrance of the shop, bumping into several glaring mall goers. She barged in and began to touch everything. The shiny gold surfaces of trumpets, the soft wood of the clarinet, the dainty string of a harp. She caught a few of the workers giving her looks, but when she caught sight of the piano, their was no stopping her. She wasn't sure if she was supposed to, but there was no signs soooo...She took at seat a her eyes hungrily took in all the keys. what to play, what to plaaaay...

aleks carmichael ! the dancers need a dancefloor, the swingers gotta swing. fashionable people doing questionable things. ~ joel plaskett emergency.
Aleks was not stupid, but he wasn't exactly the sharpest tool in the shed. He had a creative mind, one that psychologists enjoyed examining and poking and proding around, but never could fully understand. His ADHD caused him to miss things, and well, he had made a pretty big fucking mistake today. He ran out of medication two days back, but had allowed himself to procrastinate. Then, with no medication, the bus load of symptoms he usually experienced came back, full throttle. He found himself spacing out in classes and unable to ride Luka properly. It was not good. So he resolved to go to the pharmacy where his Adderall shipment had come in - the one at the East Brenville Mall.
Today, his mind was like a broken radio. It kept switching from one station to another, fuzzy and static, his ideas meshing together. He wandered through the mall, trying to locate the drug store, the place where he would recieve his prescription Adderall, but everything was just oh so interesting. He couldn't help it. There were clothing stores, restaurants, stores with electronics that he could never truly get the hang of with all their beeping and buttons and thingamajiggers... it was wonderland for Aleks! The first floor of the mall held many temptations for him, and he couldn't keep his thoughts on the drug store. On top of all that, he really had no clue where he was going.
His gaze caught on something shiny hanging in a display case. Shiny, oh goodness... a beautiful brass instrument. The sign above it read "Clever Joe's Music", a treble clef entwining in the words. Aleks couldn't help himself. He followed the impulse to go into the music store, and found it quite empty. A few workers milled around carelessly, but didn't think twice about Aleks. Today he looked like he had just rolled out of bed. His hair was ruffled and sticking out every which way, and his shirt was badly creased and jeans ripped. He was nothing unusual. A man sat at the counter, engrossed in a sci-fi novel. He seemed to either not notice or not care about a girl at a piano. It was a beautiful piano, the kind you saw in old, glamorous movies from the 50's and 60's. He couldn't help but smile as she hesitated at the keys.
She looked to be younger and much smaller than him. He was towering over her at six feet tall, but this height difference was especially apparent to him as he approached her from behind, the girl sitting at the piano bench. Her fingers were poised over the ivory keys as she thought of something to play. Aleks knew nothing about music other than he rather enjoyed it, so he couldn't offer a song suggestion. But the quiet in a music store (of all the places quiet should NOT be) was heartbreaking. So he began to speak to her. "I don't care what you play," he began with a smile, "But please, for the love of all that is good, play something. It's too freaking quiet." Aleks said, standing behind her at the bench.

OUTFIT ITRIEDso very hard not to lose it i came up with a million excuses i thought i thought of every possibility Gently, she let each finger stroke a key as she tried to decide on a melody that she liked. A few soft, beautiful came to mind, but she was looking for something more upbeat, something lively with lots of energy. Its funny how those descriptive words came to mind just as a boy came up behind her. She was so lost in thought for a moment she jumped when he spoke, but when she turned, she smiled at his words of encouragement. She first noticed his hight because her eyes met his belt loops before climbing up to his face. He had to be at least six feet tall! That meant Andrina stood almost a foot beneath him and she was sitting now, making him appear almost giant like in her bright eyes. She focused on his face now. His dark blue eyes shone with energy and general happiness, she had a strange feeling that they would become quick friends just by the look on his face. What with his bright smile and his obvious assessment that it was far too quiet in this place. It was nice to meet someone who was just happy. So far, here at Windsor, all she'd met were the famously deadly rivals, Lauren Heart and Jake Hobday. Neither of them had the sweet innocence of this boy. It was nice. But, good lord, was it quiet in here! He was right! Andrina herself wasn't a fan of quiet, it made her feel lonely for some reason and, where ever theres quite, boredom is lurking right around the corner. Oh how she detested boredom. There was just too little life to waste on doing nothing! It is isn't it?! she insisted with a smile, and in a music store of all places! she looked around and made sure she was loud enough for all the glum faced workers to hear. hmmm she turned back to the grand piano, thinking aloud. Oh! I know! she beamed as she recalled a rather fun and simple song to play. It was really only a few changing chords when it came down to it, but still, it was a lovely song. Carefully, she poised her fingers over the proper keys and began. While the intro was filling the quiet shop she looked up at the boy. you like music? it was more of a statement than a question, just making conversation. OOC oh your fine xD i babble all the time! especially with Andy, so we can babble together SONG click me

His mind flew through several thoughts in a few minutes. He liked this music store. Maybe not. It was quiet. Although, the guy at the counter was reading a sci-fi novel, which seemed cool. He wasn't much of a reader unless he absolutely had to, but sci-fi always caught his interest in the movies. The idea of taking the world that you knew so well and warping it into impossible shapes amused and interested him. It was something he explored with painting, making things impossibly shaped and different.
The girl was cute. Aleks couldn't help but notice that as she spoke to him about the condition of the store. She was slight, as if she were only a fraction of a person but not a whole one. Her movements were graceful and coordinated, although something about the way she moved hinted that she was confident and strong. Like she could take a lot more than the first look hinted at. After a moment to think, she began playing something.
Just as she began the melody, Aleks slid into the bench beside her, sitting all too close. He couldn't help it. He rocked slightly, attempting to stay to the beat but failing miserably. He smiled like a kid in a candy store. "Yeah! I like music. I just like... noise." He said. "I'm Aleks, by the way. And, I, er, came to the mall to get something but it has completely slipped my mind but that's not really unusual for me and... uhh..." He topped off his "I'm going to scare innocent girls into thinking I'm a crazy person" speech with zoning out a little. His mind was telling him there was something he needed to do when he entered the mall, but he couldn't remember it for the life of him.
When he returned to the conversation, letting his thoughts buzz angrily against his skull, she was still playing. "You play really beautifully. I wish I could play music." He said, his fingers tapping absent mindedly against his jeans as he sat next to her. He looked up at her and smiled encouragingly.

OUTFIT ANDIKNOWsomeday that itll all turn out youll make me work so we can work to work it out and i promise you kid that i give so much more than i get i just havent met you yet Andrina was a touchy person. No, not in the sultry, seductive kind of way, more along the lines or comfort and warmth. She was a hugger, a hand squeezer, the kind of person who held your face when something being said was important. She liked to feel things and not just the skin of another person. Fabrics fascinated her, from velvet to silk. When she was a kid, her father used to scold her for running her fingers over everything her curious blue eyes set upon. It was strange for someone to really consider, but the whole idea of what things felt like was a marvel to her. Like these piano keys; they are soft, but not like a pillow or a feather, more like they were smooth, which made them soft. They were cold, but now their warmed by her fingers as they danced to and fro across the notes. Touch. Simple, but confusing. Andrina was a touchy person. This was something she rather disliked about herself. It was okay sometimes to want to hold someones hand or hug them, when the occasion called for it, but...not in all occasions. Especially not this occasion, because Andy was near a boy and, in all truth, she was rather awkward around most boys. Sure, friendly chat was okay, but they often scared her. Aleks, however, seemed slightly less worrisome. She felt herself stiffen slightly as he slid next to her on the bench. He was practically pressed up against her. It was both comforting like a hug and terrifying because he was male. She tried to focus on the music and began to sing as the song called for it I'm not surprised, not everything lasts... And then he began to speak. Whatever fear she'd had of this boy melted away in that moment as laughter bubbled inside of her. She desperately tried to keep singing, but was failing horribly as giggles began to interrupt the chorus. She glanced over and caught him trying to keep the neat and that was it for her, she was laughing by the time he finished speaking his jumbled broken thoughts. I like you Aleks! she decided suddenly Your spontaneous...and confusing...and I also think your completely lost, but I'm lost most the time too so your fine she babbled with a grin. And anyone can make music, Its easy! she cheered, returning to his last comment all it is is patterned noise anyway...oh! I'm Andrina by the way...or Andy, rather. She turned her attention back to the song she was supposed to be playing and realized her fingers had taken a course of their own, playing a completely different song now, similar to the first, but only instrumental. She didn't mind and kept it up. Suddenly an awful idea came into mind. She turned to Aleks, beaming mischievously, Do you want to play a game?

The girl opened her mouth, and Aleks' thoughts stopped for a moment. She had a beautiful singing voice. The way she transitioned from note to note, feeling out the tune that was carried by her fingers. For a moment, his thoughts stopped buzzing around in his head and he could think. It wasn't for very long, unfortunately. Not long enough to make him remember he had to pick up his Adderall. But it was a moment in which he felt extremely happy, because he didn't have to get frustrated at his head for not making sense.
Like typical Aleks, he hardly noticed that the girl stiffened slightly when he had sat down. But when she began to sing, he felt the need to thank the girl for a moment for helping him not think. So he wrapped him arms around her for a moment, expressing his thanks in his own goofy way. "THANK YOU. Your singing made my thoughts stop for a moment." He said, not offering any explanation. He noticed that in this strange embrace, he was much more gigantic than her and it was more like a bear hug than anything else. The compliment was strange.
He let go of her, his attention pulled elsewhere. He noticed that she stopped singing, and began laughing instead. Probably at him. He kind of liked the attention in a little kid way. He felt himself smiling along with her. She spoke to him, her words much more relaxed and happy now that Aleks had somewhat broke the ice. "Andrina. Andrrrrrrrrina." He repeated, rolling the his 'r' sound. He thought about the name for a split second. "I think I like Andy better. It's kind of like a boys name but you are so obviously not a boy. It's ironic. I like you too, Andy Idon'tknowyourlastname." He agreed, content with this sudden hasty decision they were friends.
Aleks let her play some more music, enjoying every minute of it. He couldn't help but let him mind jump onto different matters than just Andy. A person walked by the store, eyeing it suspiciously. It was probably a very strange sight, a tall, gawky kid with twitchy fingers who looked like he was on crack next to a tiny girl in a dainty yellow dress sitting at a piano bench. He smiled to himself. His attention was pulled back to her with the question of a game. "YES. Yes I do want to play a game." He confirmed, looking down at her mischevious expression curiously.

OUTFIT IMIGHThave to wait ill never give up i guess its half timing and the other halfs luck wherever you are whenever its right youll come out of nowhere and into my life Funny how her fingers kept in time with her heart rate as the songs tempo began to race to a speed only such little fingers could dance to. She honestly should have expected such a warm response to her words based on what she had gathered about his impulsive personality so far, but nonetheless she was startled to say the least. Suddenly his harms incased her small frame in a huge hug. Her upper half was force against his chest, her face smushed into his shirt. She noticed a man stopping to stare and she attempted to give him a sort of apologetic smile, but her puckered lips made it look more like a creepy grimace and the man stared at them both incredulously. She felt her cheeks heat up again, and she silently cursed herself. She wasn't one to be easily embarrassed and it wasn't the odd scene they were making that had her flushing, it was the mere fact that a rather adorable boy was squishing her against his body. He spoke about her singing as if it was the cure for cancer, or something. Whatever she'd done, it was what he wanted. yur welca she voiced through fish lips. An involuntary giggle escaped her lips and she cleared her throat slightly in attempt to cover for it. If she'd really given herself a chance to stop and think about it, what was wrong with a hug? Andy herself was a huge hugger and so, obviously, was Aleks! They were friends now anyway right? Might as well just get over the fact that he was cute and male and go ahead and enjoy the embrace. Not that she could move her arms since he'd pinned them to her sides... Not two seconds after she had reached this the decision the moment was over and she realized she was slightly deprived of air.She shook her head slightly and struggled to remember what they were talking about. It came back to her as he tested out her name in his over zealous way. She smiled as he rolled the 'r' making her name sound even more exotic than it already was. She even chuckled a little when he came the the conclusion she'd reached years and years ago: Andy was better. She wasn't sure if she liked the nickname because it was ironic or just because it was so just...different...in a good way. Her fingers found the keys again now that she'd regathered her thoughts and picked up a jumpy tune. She looked up to try to focus on his eyes, but began to find that rather difficult, they seemed to move a mile a minute, just like his words and his thoughts. She meant to tell him her last name, but he'd moved on already to her game request. Right! Her game! A dangerous gleam shone in her bright blue eyes as she abandoned the piano keys and balled her fist by her face, hardly able to contain her joy. She shifted on the bench so she was facing him for a moment. OHYAYGOOD! she squeaked. It was not often she found someone to play games with. For one, she was rather short on friends, and two, not many her age thought games outside of drinking and vandalism any kind of fun. Andy wasn't really into either of those things and highly preferred crayons and coloring books to spay cans and the under side of a bridge. Without a thought outside of her excitement she took his hand in her and raced for the door, ignoring the several employees who opened their mouthes to protest. Its called she spoke again once they were out the doors and in the middle of the mall hall. The personal space game. She said the name like just those words would melt his mind. The point is, you try to get as close to a random person as you can before they move away or something something like they smacked you across the face, but Andy thought it best to leave that part out. Its funny cuz they get all concerned and stuff and make weird faces! A manic grin dominated her features as she looked up at him, forgetting completely that their hands remained locked. ooc. bahahaha they aaarrreee, and their both so high strung xD

Once the ice was broken between Andy and Aleks, the conversation came freely. Well, as freely as two attention-span deprived, over enthusiastic, rather hyper teenagers could talk. Although, Aleks wasn't truly a teenager. He had hit the twenty year mark a few months before, taking him from teenager to adult. Figuratively. Most people still saw him as a baby faced, freakishly tall sixteen year old. But, despite his personality, he had lived for twenty years. Briefly, he wondered how old Andrina was, but forgot to ask her as he thought about something else.
Andy grabbed Aleks' hand and tugged him out of the store. He liked holding her hand - it was soft and small in his big hands, plus it was nice having someone else leading him so he didn't have to do the impossible task of planning things. He was beginning to develop an affection for Andy, because she a lot like him. But he didn't dwell on it or make anything of it - he could hardly concentrate on her hand holding long enough. But he held her grip as she tugged him out of the music store and into the main portion of the mall. The drugstore could been seen at the end of the strip, but once again, Aleks completely ignored it.
The description of the game they were about to play was simple: you invaded a stranger's personal space until they moved away. Aleks had never played this game before, but was instantly intrigued. He usually made people uncomfortable anyways, so he was't worried. He had stopped worrying what people thought long ago, due to his condition. He couldn't help be the way he was, and if that made some uncomfortable, that was their problem. Aleks had friends he could turn to.
"Ooh!" He exclaimed excitedly. "Sounds like fun, let me try first!" Aleks let go of her for a minute, and looked at the people passing. Some had armfuls of shopping bags, some looked lost, some power walked as if they were the busiest people in the world, and some dawdled through, window shopping contently. There was a middle aged woman who gabbed loudly on her cell phone sitting on a bench facing a small ice cream store. A few bags to high-end stores were gathered around her feet. This was Aleks' first target.
Aleks approached her, but he looked as if he was headed for the ice cream store. At the last minute, he sat down on the bench beside her. It wasn't very large, so already they were too close than the safe stranger distance. He slid a little closer to her, his feet touching her store bags. She began to notice him, and looked a little miffed that he was sitting on the same bench. He inched closer once again, and then another time. By now he had popped the personal bubble radius. She was beginning to look concerned and uncomfortable, and sidled away until she was squished against the armrest of the bench. Aleks slid the inch that separated them. Now Aleks was full out touching her. She had stopped talking on her cellphone by now. "What's your problem?!" She exclaimed, ripping her bags off the floor and power walking away. Aleks returned to Andy. "Did I do good?" He asked, smiling at her.

OUTFIT ANDIKNOWthat we cane me so amazing and baby your love is gonna change me and now i can see every possibility She was extremely glad to see he was just as excited about the game as she was and for a moment she let her emotions get the best of her and she giggled as he searched out a target. The mall was getting rather busy and there were plenty of people alright, but the goal was to find someone standing or sitting still so it was easier to get close to them. It was a bonus if you found a mall goer who seemed already general irritated, or they were being rather irritating themselves. Andy's eyes immediately found the woman on the bench as a wonderful target and, apparently, Aleks agreed. She babbled on her phone about something stupid and was rather loud about it too. She looked rather well off judging by the bags of expensive items at her feet, and her voice gave off a condescending air. Andy's face took on a devious glow and a small smirk appeared on her face. She silently urged Aleks to bug the crap out of this one. She tired to look inconspicuous as she stood, alone now, in the middle of the mall, giggling at the scene in front of her. She coughed and gathered her expression. She attempted to glance around, like she was just looking for a store she wanted to go into or something, but soon the hilarity of the whole thing got the best of her. Aleks started off nice and slow, a good technique if you wanted ultimately the best result. The woman kept casting him the evilest looks, Andy would hardly handle it. Her face burned red and she bit her lip to keep from laughing. She held her breath, but as soon as the woman hissed a nasty remark at him and stormed off, it was more than she could bear. She held her stomach and doubled over in laughter as he came trotting back. After she got more of a handle on herself she looked up at him Perfect! she exclaimed joyfully and offered him a high five. Alright she said, calming herself my turn now. Andy gave him a grin and searched her surroundings. There was a man waiting in line for ice cream at a vender nearby. She pursed her lips as he contemplated how she would invade his space, then an idea struck her. She gasped in excitement and dug through the pocket of her striped jacket until she pulled out a bright pink digital camera. I'll need your help with this one she rushed, handing him the camera and taking his hand again. Had it been anyone else, this may have seemed weird, grabbing his hand again, but it felt easy and comfortable for whatever reason. It was innocent and she was far too high on emotion to let worry ruin the fun she was having. She pulled him toward the man. A few paces away she let go and tossed him a wink before heading over to the grumpy guy who was now checking his watch. She purposely was already just a bit too close to him. Oh my God, what a cute little ice cream thinger! Take my picture with it! she called like a stupidly over excited ditz. The man cast her a look, but did nothing. After a second she called again Ew, no the light is all wrong here she shook her head and scooted over so her back was nearly touching the man's. He shuffled, but still didn't move. Andrina poised her body in a strange sort of pose then, very subtly, backed up until her back was completely up against his. She stretched her arms so she nearly punched him in the face. The man had enough. He cursed a few times and stormed off, she wasn't sure, but he might have been calling mall security. Whatever. Andy bust out laughing again and wobbled back toward Aleks.

aleks carmichael ! the dancers need a dancefloor, the swingers gotta swing. fashionable people doing questionable things. ~ joel plaskett emergency.
Aleks was rather enjoying this game. Since he really had no perception of personal space, especially with ADD in full swing, it didn't make a difference how close the stranger was. In fact, he liked being close to people. He could be a little intimidating, however, so sometimes people didn't like to stick around long enough for him to get close to them. His history with girls was like that - he would want to get close to them too quick, and he would scare them off. This was why someone like Andy - someone who was equally as attention deprived and easily amused and brutally honest - was perfect for him. They understood each other.
She grabbed his hand again to pull him into her game. He couldn't help but smile at her. She handed him a small pink camera and had him play an essential role in her personal space invasion. "Ok! This ice cream thinger? Ok, ready, say cheese-" He aimed the camera at her smiling face, but she announced the lighting was less than perfect at the last moment. He wasn't sure where she was going yet, but he clued in as she moved closer to an angry-looking guy in the ice cream line. She inched closer to the man that she had chosen as her target, flailing her arms into the air. By now, Aleks was full out laughing. He tried to stifle his laughs from behind the camera but couldn't help laughing his ass off. Andy had done enough, and her target finally noticed. He stormed off, cussing as he left the ice cream line. "That was brilliant! You're a pro at this game, Andy!" He exclaimed happily, returning to her side.
He stood there, looking at her for a second. His gaze strayed upwards, and he saw it. Finally, the pieces clicked. The illuminated 'Pharmacy' sign triggered something in his brain. Miraculously, he remembered for a moment. "My drugs! I need my ADD drugs. That's what I came here for! I'm going to forget this in a second, but can you take me to the pharmacy?" He asked Andy quickly, his words all meshing together. If he told her now, while the thought was still in his mind, then she would remember for him. He hoped. And just as the thought had come, it left again, and his thoughts rearranged. He looked all around the mall, following the colours and lights. "We should ride the escalator!" He exclaimed excitedly, completely forgetting he was supposed to go to the pharmacy again.

OUTFIT THEYSAYalls fair in love and war but I wont need to fight it well get it right and well be united
Her smile expanded so her cheeks began to feel stretched and painful as he complemented her mastery of the personal space game. pfff, with the potential your showing, you'll be a pro in no time! she bubbled in response. It was truthfully not the first time she'd played it. She found a strange sort of joy in it that really all boiled down to her need for touch. Masking her general craving for closeness with a fun and crazy game was something of a guilty pleasure that she'd never admit to. Making things into a game also gave her an excuse push off those strange insecureness she found when being too near to guys. It was an annoying complex to feel a strong gravity to hold people, to comfort and in turn be comforted by the warmth of their skin, but to also have a strange anxiety when someone...like Aleks...is inside her bubble. She would have to blame this on her upbringing and her heritage if she really stopped and thought about it. Her mother, from what she'd found out from digging in the drawers of her house and listening to conversations not meant for her ears, her mother was a warm and welcoming person herself, with a ever growing talent to comfort with her caresses, her holds, her embraces. So it was really in Andrina's blood to feel the way she did, the problem was, her father was not and never will be a touchy feely sort of person. Thought she'd never pour the blame on her poor wifeless dad, he has left his daughter deprived of that warmth and comfort she needed all her life. So now, here she was, needing it, but also afraid of the unfamiliarness of it. All this ran through her head as he returned to her side, just slightly too close as he always was. She wondered for a moment if he came from a similar past, or maybe he had other reasons for the need for affection. She watched him as he eyes landed on her. The moment seemed a lot longer than it must have been because, from what she'd learned from Aleks so far, his eyes never stayed on one thing for more than a millisecond. That millisecond stretched, however, as she wondered what was driving his thoughts to change so rapidly, what made him stand so close, why she kept smiling up at him like some zoned idiot. It was all beginning to become frustrating, but all at once her fixation was broken as he shouted. His first word hit her as a shock, the idea of him being drug addict had never crossed her mind, but his next words made her feel silly for even letting the idea enter her head. She found herself giggling as it all came together...well mostly. ADD explained a lot. She nodded, still smiling and shaking her head slightly, but agreeing to help him out. Admittedly, Andy probably had a case of ADD herself, if she'd ever bothered to get herself to the doctor about it. She was extremely forgetful, but she'd never put too much thought into it. OKAY she pipped at first, excited by the idea of the escalator. Andy was a HUGE fan of the moving stair cases, but she managed to catch herself. Despite her recent conflict with the touching issue, she grabbed his hand yet again. wait no! she shook her head and brought her free palm to her face. pharmacy, remember? she began to pull him in that direction. She was beginning to like the easy feeling of having her small hand protecting by his enormous one. It was warm and nice, like a small hug, she tried to ignore the strange tightening she felt in her stomach.

aleks carmichael ! the dancers need a dancefloor, the swingers gotta swing. fashionable people doing questionable things. ~ joel plaskett emergency.
Stairs were perfect. They were a challenge both physically and mentally. Physically, the challenge was climbing them. Getting the body to withstand pressure until you reached the top, the goal, the thing that was waiting for you at the top. Mentally, they were a test of Aleks' attention. Could he withstand seeing the same monotonous thing until he reached the top? But moving stairs were even better. Escalators were every child's dream - running up them, racing them, running down them, trying to hang on to the railing until your body stretched too far. Escalators were a major distraction.
It only made sense that once Aleks had moved onto the escalator, he could think of nothing else. They were so much fun! And just so great! And so wonderful! They were a wonder within themselves. Aleks began to imagine how exactly an escalator worked. For some reason, this made him terribly hungry. When Andy agreed to ride the escalator with him, he practically jumped for joy! "Oh good!" He exclaimed, on the verge of bounding out to them. But then she mentioned a pharmacy and began tugging him towards it. "Where we going?" He asked casually, as if girls pulled him into pharmacies everyday.
As they entered, Aleks' brain reorganized itself for a few moments once again. God, he thought, my drugs. He felt a little angry with himself for forgetting them again. Specifically, that's what he had come for. He even had his prescription in his pocket in case his mind wandered off. But it could be tacked to a sign hanging off his forehead in front of his eyes and he would forget it. It was incredibly frustrating not being on Adderall.
Aleks followed, his fingers enveloping Andy's small hands. He tried his hardest not to get distracted by the fact that he was holding her hand. It sounded silly, because Aleks had an odd yet somewhat significant history in the "Female Relations" department, but he always felt a little giddy holding hands. Making out can become impersonal, but if you're holding someone's hand, you want to. He tried to push the thoughts and memories racing around his head out of the way, but it was hard.
They made it to the counter and Aleks took the lead. He knew what to do now. "HiI'mAleksCarmichaelandIneedmyshipmentofAdderall." He said it quickly so he could get it all out before he forgot. He smacked his prescription onto the counter to the clerk. The prescription had two doctors signatures on it due to the highly addictive condition of the drug. Aleks waited for the clerk to return, looking at Andy. "Thank you thank you so much Andy... it's so frustrating forgetting everything." He said sincerly.

She was slightly concerned by the fact that he didn't catch on right away as she towed him toward the pharmacy, but, much to her confusion, a mile creased her face. It was hard not to find it all just a bit amusing. She giggled slightly at his response, though she knew she probably shouldn't have. His apparent oblivion meant that, as she pulled him along, he, at least for the moment, had no idea where she was taking him...but he was still going. He had too many quirks to count, the heart of a child, the looks of a man, and a mind of complete chaos and that was completely okay. In all truth...he was a lot like her, well...except for the man bit. It was strange and endearing and nice. She felt sort of sick. So noticed her hand had taken on a slight tremor and she suddenly decided she'd better dwell on something else. Shaking her head slightly she was glad to see him take the lead and distract her a bit. She smiled at his rushed words and held back a laugh, feeling a bit guilty. She was, however, rather proud of herself for making out his conjoined words. She could be a translator! Do people need ADD translators? Oh lord, now she was just being rude. Is it? She was just wondering...wondering about rude things...? would Aleks mind? why does that matter? Should it matter? Would it still matter if she was so obsessed with their hand holding? Had he forgotten that they were still holding hands? Did he think it matters? Andy blinked hard to ward of the questions that flooded her mind. It was like her head went off on rants. Sometimes just on little things and sometimes all too difficult to stop. Aleks spoke again and she realized she was starring intensely at their hands. hmm? she rushed as he broke her racing chain of thoughts and brought her back to the present. She tipped her head up to look at his face and suddenly remember his amazing height in comparison to her. She smiled with a distracted air your welcome she bubbled, but her eyes quickly returned to her recent fixation, their hands. I think...I like holding your hand she said simply with a creased brow and a serious look on her face, realizing all too late that this was perhaps something she didn't want to have said out loud.
