You got a nerve Giving me the cold shoulder Giving me the twice over, that's not deserved. We'll talk, again when you're sober You said I've got cold, our heat has gone
The one bit of Windsor that Ryan really wasn't looking forward too was the education bit. All these kids were going to be privately educated brainboxes, he was pretty much predisposed to is before he even accepted to come to Windsor. He had never been one for education, the only thing he could do was Maths, and he thought compared to these people he would still come across rubbish. His Dad had told him not to worry, no one really cared to much about Grades, it was all about the riding, and to be fair, Blake wasn't the brightest bulb in the box. However, Ryan was still entitled to be annoyed. He only knew a few people so far, and hadn't had the chance to meet anyone else. He loved how they had no uniform. He felt so much more relaxed. He wore a white ralph lauren polo shirt that fitted him nicely, with a nice pair of blue jeans along with a pair of nice white trainers. He had his hair styled nicely, and had a worn out nike backpack slung over his shoulder with his books in it. He looked as gorgeous as ever. He did know it however, and walked with a certain confidence that radiated from him. He knew it would be a shock for his competitors that he was here, Ryan rarely left Ireland. However, this meant more high class competition. He saw a few familiar faces, but didn't greet or meet. He had to get a back seat in his first English lesson. He found the room, and opened the door, bollocks, he was late. Ah well, make an entrance why don't you Ryan? He thought to himself. Well, Good Morning Mr Kildaire. If you would like to take a seat over there, i can begin. There was a passive flow of whispers.Ryan Kildaire had left Ireland and come to Windsor Acadamy. Competition had just been raised a level. He walked up the side of the room and took a seat mid way back between two good looking girls.Maybe English wouldn't be too bad this year. He pulled out his notepad and pen and leant back. It had Mrs Clarke written on the board. Ryan sighed and leant back as class began.

Olivia had only been late to class once before, and she was lucky that the teacher hadn't said anything about it. She snuck around the corner and ran into the room before the teacher had made it there himself. That alone had her on edge. This was totally different. Olivia had somehow gotten her directions mixed up and went to a totally different block of the school, only to find it was not where she was supposed to be. She realised her mistake and trotted in the correct direction. Rather than talking to another teacher to be able to get an excuse note for class, she thought she could beat the bell, but this was not the case. And it was also not a good day to be wearing her converse, either. She had never liked the low-top converse, as they were horrible running shoes. Of all days to wear them, she had picked the wrong day.
Finally she made it to the proper class. She was slightly out of breath and stood outside the door for a quick second to asses the situation and to fix her hair. Not that there was much to fix about it; Olivia could get away with the wild and messy hairstyle, because that was how her hair naturally was. She turned the handle and strode into the room, looking sheepishly around the room at all the other students. Mrs Clarke was at the board and turned to her with a scornful look on her face. Olivia sort of grinned to herself for the length of a second before it was wiped off. She looked at the teacher and then spoke, You know if you keep that look on your face too long, it'll get stuck like that. she said flatly. Mrs Clarke now glared at her and said Take a seat. Right there. Miss... Now Olivia glared at her, just to even things up. Wood. Olivia Wood. And thank you. she replied, sitting one row over from Ryan.
Olivia sat down and whispers began, although it didn't seem like they had ceased since she came in. She looked at the others trying to size them up, but first impressions were wrong anyhow. She slumped back in her seat and rested her feet on the chair in front of her, on the little rack that is supposed to hold a person's books. Now that Olivia was sitting down and at the same level as the rest of her peers, she felt self-concious. She pulled her sweatshirt around her and picked a piece of invisible lint off of her skinny jeans. She didn't bother fixing her hair again, as it always had a wild look to it, but she had managed to bobby pin a few sections back and out of her face. Mrs Clarke was going on about some book and Olivia groaned, as she had read it two years ago. This project will be a snap then, since I've already read it. she said sarcastically.

We'll talk, again when you're sober You said I've got cold, our heat has gone He was getting settled now, the room had only just fallen back to silence when the door swung open again. A few people were getting annoyed at the amount of late comers, and they just wanted to get started. Ryan watched a girl walked in. She was tanned, had nice if not slightly wild hair and a pretty face. She was wearing skinny jeans and a nice sweatshirt with low top converses. Not usually his type of girl, but she had a pretty face and nice body. He watched as she sat a row a way from him. There was a skinny red head between them, who had pink everywhere. No, seriously, everywhere. Pink t-shirt, pink bag, pink pencil case, pink notepad, pink pen. Ryan was disgusted. Also, it clashed quite badly with her hair. Not that he would admit he noticed that. He was going to say Hello to the new arrival. Olivia Wood. Then she said something that changed his mind considerably. She didn’t really need to announce that too her surrounding classmates. Even pink obsessed red head frowned. Ryan smirked. Well, maybe you should keep that t’ya self. Geek. Ryan’s ridiculously attractive accent wavered across the room. He would probably have to slave over this paper after reading a few summaries online. He would die if he had to read the actual book.

Olivia felt a sinking feeling as the boy in the next row dissed her. She tried to hide it quickly and think of something clever to say. She desperately wanted to be accepted by everyone, especially the guys. Olivia always seemed to have a hard time being accepted by other guys. She figured on the fact that she was probably smarter than them. She tried not to show it off and tried to be one of the kids that was sunk down in their seat and did their work. It was always the teachers that ruined it for her, pointing out her work to everyone in the class. Olivia pulled out her doodle notebook and opened it to a semi-blank page (semi-blank meaning she had already doodled a cartoonish dinosaur) and her pen hovered over it.
Olivia's voice was steady as she replied. Well, it wouldn't take me long to write my paper. Which means I'd have plenty of time to write anyone else's for them. I used to do it all the time at my old school. She looked down at her page and pressed her lips together, not wanting to look at anyone else's face. Indeed, she had written two other papers for kids, but the most she had written was about two pages for each kid, and it was a four page paper. But still, she was hoping it would get her brownie points with this kid. He seemed like one of those guys that if you're 'in' with him, then you'll have no troubles. Olivia didn't really like to be 'in' but when it came to Windsor, it seemed that you needed as many frienemies as possible. No matter what.

Skyla tapped a finger lightly against her side in irritation. Trust her to be late for her second damn class. She wouldn't be if the stupid school wasn't layed out so confusingly. She probably shouldn't have spent the 5 extra minutes in bed this morning, because they had quickly turned to 15... making Sky run late. She was clad in her usual light wash skinny jeans, a snug fitting shirt with 'The Script' splashed over it-they just so happened to be her favorite music group. She was weirdly attached to music, but that band was her favorite by far.
Some simple mocha colored Uggs graced her feet, and her hair was straightened; sun glinting off of the thin strand subtly. Glancing down at her hand, where she had written the classroom number in black ink since the girl was prone to forgetting things, she looked back up, scanning all of the door plaques. And...there. Ah, finally arrived. Walking over to the door, she turned the handle quickly and pushed it in, feeling the cool rush of air on her face. Blinking, she glanced at the teacher, who was a rather crude looking old woman, and shrugged her shoulders while muttering a distant apology. She wasn't sorry. They were lucky she was even here. Obviously she wasn't the only late one, because she caught another girl's words as she took a sit mid back. Skyla held in a snicker. The girl had spice.
Making her way to the back, she decided sitting by the tan girl, whose hair was in tight curls, and dropped down in the seat beside her, closest to the aisle between the rows. She managed to glance over at a handsome boy who sneered at the curly haired girl, and Sky narrowed her eyes. Jeez. She only glared at him for a minute though, before turning to the girl next to her. "Hello. I'm Skyla White." Sky inserted a smile before continuing. "It's nice to meet you."

Ryan had lost interest as she tried to dig herself out of this hole. He turned back to the door as the next girl slid in unnoticed. She was his type, really pretty eyes, soft brown hair and very natural. Not much make up, just enough. She didn’t seem to be the type to care very much. She sat two rows over, next to the know it all girl, who in her own right was very good looking also, but had come across as a bit to nerdy for his liking. He wanted to talk to her. Not an easy mission with a strict teacher. So he ripped a corner from his notepad. Scribbled a quick note that read Hey, I’m Ryan. Hows it going? . He quickly folded it and passed it to the girl next to him and pointed to the new girl. He then leant forward. I’m only messin’ with ya’ Liv. You mind me callin you Liv? I’m Ryan. Make amends anyway, no matter if she was a nerd or not. It would make him look good anyways. He had a few heads turning at his accent anyway as it drifted across to Olivia. The teacher was happy delicately writing information on the board to be too bothered by the low level noise going on behind her. She was writing the information for this book report that would be a bit of a mission but not impossible. It was going to be a pain to concentrate with the temptation of so much stuff going on around him, especially a room mate aswell. He couldn’t wait to try out some of the facilities at Windsor. It was going to be fun, but it would be a trek getting to competitions, the horses aren’t gonna be happy. Jay and Flanigan would be in for a shock. As was he.

Olivia lethargically passed the note to the girl that introduced herself as Skyla White. That was a pretty name. As was the girl it belonged to. Olivia wasn't sure, however, if Skyla was just being nice to her to impress Ryan, and she also wasn't sure if Ryan was now being nice to impress Skyla. She jerked her head to clear her thoughts and try to straighten things out, but it was impossible. This would have to be sorted another time when she could be around each of them, instead of in this group situation. It was too hard to tell. Olivia still smiled at Skyla as she introduced herself. Likewise. She doodled randomness on her paper, and it turned out looking like just a bunch of squiggly lines. She was trying to doodle something awesome, like she'd seen some other kids do, but she could never doodle like that. Somehow, their doodles always came out really cool looking. Olivia was good at drawing things, but not doodling.
Olivia then heard that soon familiar Irish accent floating around the room and she turned to Ryan again as he spoke. She gave him her sincerest smile before she spoke. Riight, well. And I don't mind at all. That's what most everyone calls me. she shrugged and then lazily looked to the board, and then to the clock. Ugh. Could this tortue puh-leeze end? Now? she muttered to herself. But then she half regretted it, thinking that Ryan would make some kind of comment to make her look like a doofus, and she didn't want to bail herself out of it again.

I'll find a way to close the door I want to say so much more but I found you once, you're lost again Two thousand miles took what could have been
The sun streamed in robustly from the window on the opposing wall from where Skyla sat. She smiled delicately toward it; the large window would most likely be her source of entertainment for the next few semesters. It was ridiculous. Sky happened to be beast in courses that involved writing or language, but math totaly escaped her grasp. In fact, she was going to practically beg someone to tutor her in it, for assurance that she didn't fail in a miserable fashion. And if she failed math, then Sky really didn't want any privilages taken away. That would suck. Really bad, too. Finally dragging her eyes away from the window and placing back on the old teacher's back, the girl heaved a sigh. Great... book reports. She really loved those. Note heavy sarcasim. Chuckling breifly to herself, she grimaced slightly. They were one of the only things that involved writing that she sucked at. The school here was turning out to be shitty.
She turned as the girl replyed, and smiled nonchalantly at her as she doodled absently in her notebook. Skyla had never been one for doodling. Her doodles always transformed into detailed drawing that usually took her awhile to complete. So she tended to stay away from the absent-minded drawing. She slid her glance back over to the boy who had been so rude to the girl sitting next to her. She widened her eyes slightly as she scanned him once, and then turned back to the board. Damn. She hadn't really noticed through her sort of pissed state of mind, but he was kinda hot.
Okay. Really hot.
Not that it mattered. Okay. It mattered.
But still. He had been rude to that girl for no reason. He spoke up, to the tan girl who he called Liv, and his Irish accent dripped into Skyla's head. Wow. That was really different. Before now, the only Irish accents she had heard were on tv. None in real life. A small smile wormed its way to her rose colored lips and she glanced at him again. He was talking to Liv, and she replied nicely. Wow. That girl didn't really have the ability to hold grudges, did she? Skyla went back to staring out the window and started when someone tapped her. She turned her head to see Liv passing her a note. Sneaking a quick glance at the oblivious teacher, Sky unfolded it and read what it entailed. Chuckling slightly, she turned to look at the boy who had passed it. The same boy who had been rude. The same boy with the accent. Ryan.
She picked up her pencil and wrote underneath the boy's message. 'Hi Ryan, I'm Sky. And it's going shitty. I hate book reports. I'm almost as bad at writing them as I am doing math. What about you?' She folded the small, ripped piece of lined paper and slid it back to Liv, smiling and pointing lightly at Ryan. She could confront him about his rudeness after class.
And Liv spoke, Skyla nodded in agreement. "I know, right? I hate doing this crap. It's not like I'm ever going to use it."

cold as a winter's day today hot as a summers eve young money thieves steal your heart with ease
Ryan flicked his pen absent mindedly between his fingers, making a relaxing tapping sound on the thick pad of paper. He listened as both the hot new girl and Liv said the inputs. They were right however, not a particularly good lesson to start on. Monday mornings where gonna be a difficult one. He took the note back. He unfolded it carefully, not to make too much noise and read. She seemed nice enough, chatty. Sweet. Relaxed. He noted down his reply. lol, well i get maths if you ever need a hand with that. What discipline do you do? i'm gonna guess your a showjumper. He folded it up and tossed it back across the classroom. His sharp green eyes followed it too make sure it reached its destinations, of those rather delicate hands. He then leant back again and began to eye up other people in the room. Who did he know? They were mainly dressage riders, the ones he knew anyways. He always had plenty to discuss with them, considering all the rest of his family were renound dressage riders, whom he had never really met. He would meet Ruari, Sam and Jamie when he was ready, he wouldn't do it till he was ready to face the people who had treated his dad so disgustingly. Blake had always been very good about it. Blake had always been open with Ryan about it all, and had offered to take him to meet them. Ryan had been given the opportunity at the World Equestrian Games when he became the youngest rider to ever win individual Gold at senior level. Sam, his uncle had tried to meet him. Ryan had refused saying that he would meet him on his terms, when he wanted to. Gaining him alot of respect in the showjumping world, after everything had come out about Blake's treatment when he was younger. Ryan became a showjumping superstar overnight after that. He knew he was one of the big players to beat at Windsor, along with Jake Hobday and Saxon Kingsley and a few others. As he drifted off in his thoughts, he thought he better say something. What discipline ya' in Liv?He asked inquisitively. It seemed that the teacher was happy listening to the sound of her own voice. Ryan couldn't wait too just get out to the horses, hoping they had settled okay. He knew Jay would of, he was always the easy to do gentleman. However, Flanigan was always going to be difficult and it was going to take him alot longer to settle, though it would be worth it for all the potential he had.

Olivia sighed, being on the outside of the other two people's note. She was sort of used to that, though. Even in her own friend circle she was left out sometimes. Especially when they all started getting their licenses. She plainly just procrastinated about taking the driving classes. She had gotten her permit, which meant she could only drive with a parent. And since her dad wasn't around much after her mom left, she got left behind some of the time on their friend outtings, since there were five to their group, and each person could only take one other person. She didn't really mind it, now that she thought about it. It gave her more time to work with Sorry. She looked up at the teacher who was now sitting bent over her large desk quietly, doing some kind of busy work. She looked around at the other kids that were scribbling down their work, reading other books, chatting quietly, and sleeping.
Ryan's accent floated into her ears and she felt herself give a half smile at just the sound, then she mentally shook herself. Olivia debated on which discipline to start with. Whichever she started with he would listen for the one that wasn't outrageous, probably. So it wouldn't matter. Barrel racing and show jumping. I have a Paint. What about you guys?

I'll find a way to close the door I want to say so much more but I found you once, you're lost again Two thousand miles took what could have been
The girl's hazel eyes were back on the window, staring out into nothing as she thought. She would be graduating this school soon, and then she would be back to her parents house until she bought an apartment. Now was when she would have to make as many friends as possible. College was out of the question for her-she wouldn't have any time between training and competitions. Letting out a slight sigh, she dragged her gaze from the window and settled it on the teacher's back for a few brief moments. The oblivious woman still wasn't aware that very few people were actually attentive on her. She seemed to be writing some sort of summary for something. What it was, she didn't know, but it seemed that the lady had just recently begun jotting it down, and it was going to take awhile from the looks of it.
She shook her head subtly in her contempt of the older woman and turned her head to look at Liv, who was in conversation with Ryan. The curly haired teenager passed her back the note, and Skyla unfolded it without glancing up. She scanned it quickly and chuckled, flashing Ryan a faint smile before replying. Thanks, I'm going to need help to pass the dang class, haha. And wow, you're right. I'm guessing the same for you? Scribbling it down in her skinny penmanship, Sky refolded to now-creased piece of paper and handed it to Liv with a slight gesture to Ryan.
"Thats cool. I tried barrel racing once-it never stuck but it's a fun sport." She started, smiling at Liv, running a hand through her straightened tresses smoothly. "I'm in show jumping too. Hopefully I'll see you at the comps." Her words were soft, and she wasn't sure if they would float over to Ryan or not. "I have a Frisian mix. I know you wouldn't expect a horse with Frisian in him to be any good at all, but he's a beast." She laughed slightly, re situating the way she sat in the chair. The class number she had stupidly written on her hand was in sharpie, so she didn't expect it to come off for awhile. Sighing, she reached into her pocket, pulling out a pack of Trident gum. Unwrapping one for herself and popping it into her mouth, she held out the pack to Liv. "Want one?"

Western riders had never been something Ryan understood. He had respect for them, and what they did, but he just didn't get it, at all. He had been told many times that he was closed minded, but it was an average irish trait and definitley a genetic fault on a part of his family. He was a little homesick, but it was inevitable, he had spent all his life in Northern Ireland, apart from going away for comps or holidays and they were always with friends or family. This was the first time he had gone anywere on his own, and to be competitive, but it was going to help him, he was sure of it, he just needed to get in to the swing of things. Firstly, making friends was gonna be a good place to start. I'm a Showjumper too. Never been much good at anythin' else. Ive got my two stallions with me'. Jay and Flanigan. Bay and Black sport horses. So, where are you guys from?He recieved the note back, she had folded it neatly, and her writing was impeccable as well. Ryan had neat writing for a guy, but it still wasn't smart. He picked up his pen and scribbled below her writing. Yeah, definitley. Sure enough the only thing im good at. Fancy going for a ride somewere later? He quickly folded it up and passed it back to her. He then took a quick glance back up to the teacher who was unaware that her whole class was now chattering amongst themselves and making new friends whilst he wrote nonsense on the board. Maybe english wasn't gonna be too bad this year with Liv and Sky in it.

Olivia grinned as Sky mentioned trying barrel racing. One of Liv's friends that she went to shows with had also tried barrel racing, but definitely wasn't cut out for it. Not even when Olivia lent her Neverending Sorrows to ride. Olivia nodded and hoped that she would see Sky at some shows. Now that she thought about it, she ought to take Sorry out soon and get him used to the place, and maybe see how well some of the other riders are. Friesians. Olivia had never really thought about it at all. Sure, she knew that they were pretty good for disciplines like dressage, but she'd never given any thought to jumping. But hey, whatever works. She remembered watching some videos once when she was younger about teaching mules to jump. So if they could do it, why not friesians?
When Sky offered a piece of gum Olivia nodded her head. Yes, please. Thanks. she said quietly, as Ryan chimed in. She turned as his Irish accent filed the room with its sweet melody. I'm from America. Maine specifically. But my mom lives in Spain. Olivia replied. She still hadn't decided anything about Sky and Ryan yet. Is he trying to be nice to her now, or does he really want to be friends of some sort? And Sky, is she being nice in front of Ryan because she might like him, or does she want to be friends?

I'll find a way to close the door I want to say so much more but I found you once, you're lost again Two thousand miles took what could have been
The teacher was still writing crap down on that stupid board. Skyla raised an eyebrow in question at the woman's actions. Was she not aware that almost no one was even tuned in to her? Like, at all? All of the people here were chattering among themselves, with no intention of ever listening to the teacher. Oh, save for a handful of students absentmindedly taking down a few notes and then returning to their conversations. Accents from several parts of the world drifted around the large room, some understandable and some she had to think about in order to decipher what they meant. The girl shook her head subtly at the teacher and turned back to Liv with a blank expression. "This class is going to kill me." She complained, sighing heavily while running a hand through her mocha tresses.
Clearing her throat, Sky took a piece of gum from the pack and slid it in front of Liv, then leaning over to put the pack back in her purse. Straightening her back, Sky watched as Liv passed the note onto her desk, and she unfolded the already worn piece of paper. Reading his latest words, she smiled and wrote down her reply. Def. I heard the trails were super pretty. Windsor had some of the most gorgeous trails in the world, and she had wanted to ride down them for quite some time now-since before she had been invited here. She looked back at Liv when she announced that she'd come from America. Skyla nodded her head before speaking. "Oh really? I was originally from America before moved to England for my shows. New York, to be exact. It was really cool. You could see a guy getting attacked by cockroaches, look at a hobo taking a bath in the gutter, and buy a thousand dollar watch knock-off for nine bucks. All in the same day." She mused, remembering buying her mom that watch for mother's day.
She never had told her mom it was a knock-off, but hey. She was happy without knowing it, so Sky wasn't going to be the one to rain on her parade. She tapped Liv on the shoulder, shooting her a smile. "Hey. This weekend, we should see what the mall's like, eh?" She suggested, fully into the idea of shopping. She really needed some outfits to go clubbing in. Apparently Soul was really popular around campus, and even off. She would make sure to check that out. Plus, she wanted to spend some quality girl time with Liv. It seemed that the two got along enough, and Liv seemed really cool.

Giggles escaped her as Sky mused about a day in New York. Olivia could sort of relate, in a way. That was kind of how things could be in Spain...only not. Well, the point was, she could relate. There were some pretty crazy people in Spain, Olivia being one of them sometimes. She smiled at the thought of being with her mom again. That was when the homesickness sort of struck her and her smile quickly faded. Olivia tried to pull herself together quickly and recover from it, hoping no one noticed too much. She busied herself with the gum she was now chewing.
She was content with her gum chewing and ignoring the teacher until Skye mentioned the mall. Olivia almost winced. She wasn't really a fan of shopping, but she dealt with it, as long as it wasn't crowded and she found interesting things. When it came to buying tack or something, then Olivia got excited. But clothes? Really? She almost opened her mouth to decline and that shopping wasn't her thing but she didn't quite say that. She took a moment to think. To make it at Windsor, she would probably have to end up becoming the stereotype. Or at least seem like it, in order to fit in. Although Sky seemed like the genuine type to not be bothered by Olivia's not liking shopping, she knew deep down that no one likes turned down on any circumstance (unless you're totally unattractive and wanting a date, or a really old crotchety creeper wanting to get some, then it's an instant denied situation).
Olivia bit her lip and then replied. Okay, sounds good. she still felt the need to explain a little, as a disclaimer. Oh, why not. Just as a warning, I'm not really into the shopping thing. It didn't help my friends were the same. But I think with you it'll be more fun. she rushed, ending with a small smile. She gave a shrug and felt the need to explain herself some more. I'm still clutching my baseball-football-need-to-be-dirty-phase. But I think in a week, it will be nonexistant. she rambled with a giggle at the end. Okay, shut up. she told herself. She pressed her lips together and allowed Sky - and Ryan for that matter - let everything sink in.
