After they had left the room, Sky had led Eden down to the barn. She held his hand in hers, already accustomed to the small gesture. It was warm, and nice; something that the girl liked. The sun was rising slowly but surely, casting it's chilling rays across the landscape. Orange and yellow danced across the skyline, painting a pretty picture for the teenager to gaze at as she walked. Swinging their hands leisurely together, she continued in this fashion until they reached the feed barn. "Hey. I need feed to get Dezzy in." She giggled and scooped some feed into a neon tinted pail, shaking it a few times experimentally. The sound of pellets crashing against one another made her grin and head towards the paddock. Once she reached the fence, Sky climbed up it, straddling the top to help with her stability. Turning toward Eden, she smirked. "If I fall..." She finished with a point at him before turning back to the paddock.

Clanging the bucket around, she called Dezzy's name until she saw him trotting toward her with his black ears perked. He increased his pace and snorted, swishing his tail around his sleek hindquarters. Upon reaching the gate, Dezzy shook his head and nuzzle the girl, letting her get a good look at his rug. He had obviously rolled at some point, because dirt and sand clung to the woolen fabric of the blanket. Sighing, she a made a sad attempt to wipe it off. She managed to loosen a few pieces, but didn't make much of a difference. Skyla hopped off the fence fluidly and opened it, snatching Dezzy's lead. Clipping it on him, she waited until Eden had gotten Envy before smiling at him and starting back for the barn. It took several minutes for Sky to reach the building, relishing the sound of Dezzy's heavy hooves against the tough floor. With the bucket in one hand, and her placid gelding in the other, she led her horse to his respective stall.

She let him into his stall, and unclipped his lead rope. After a few moments deliberating, she unclipped his blanket and hauled it off of him, throwing it over her shoulder. She exited the stall and closed it, looping his lead rope over a lone hook, and starting toward the tack room. She folded his blanket smoothly and then slid it onto her shelf, straining up on her tip toes to do so. After she had finished that, she sighed and headed back to her black equine. Picking up the food she had left outside his stall, she dumped it into his food bin. Sky grabbed a flake of hay from a nearby bale and slid into his stall to fit it into the mesh hay keeper. The girl leaned in to kiss her horse softly on his cheek, giving him a pat on his shoulder. "Be a good boy, Dez." She murmured softly, smiling gently at him. With that she left his stall and headed on over to Eden and Envy, humming gently to herself. Her light brown ponytail swung gently form side to side as she walked, her amrs swinging subtly. Upon reaching the pair she was seeking, she smiled and gave Envy a quinck kiss on her soft muzzle. With that, she returned her gaze to Eden and smiled. "Soooooo. What do you want to eat?" She said, poking his nose lightly.

The morning air felt cool on his skin. The hem of his polo fluttered gently as his waist as he walked hand-in-hand with Sky down to the stables. This was exactly what he had pictured in his head when he'd thought about Windsor, when the idea of going to this school was merely one gleaned from the brochure in his hand, and not a reality. He had looked at the glossy pictures of the stables, the dorms, the arenas and the scenery. Eden's overactive imagination had seen himself spending his days in Envy's saddle, looking like a far more attractive and coordinated version of himself, with a gorgeous, faceless girl at his side. He never imagined that his fantasy would become reality, that he would be accepted into the school, and that he would meet Sky, the living, breathing version of the unknown girl in his head. It was all a bit surprising and too good to be true. Part of Eden felt like the rug beneath his feet was about to be ripped out from under him at any moment. A larger part of him didn't care. He had enough wonderful memories to last him a lifetime, and he was determined to enjoy every moment of his unexpected streak of luck.

They reached the feed barn and Eden waited patiently while Sky collected some pellets for her horse, clanging them experimentally around in a bucket. Envy was one of those horses that responded to a simple call of her name. It was wonderfully convenient for Eden, and he was grateful that his horse was an easy catcher. Accompanying Sky back to the paddock, he grinned at her threat and carefully watched her clamber over the fence. There was no way he would let her fall. Well, admittedly, Eden wouldn't be much help even if she did fall. He was as uncoordinated as they came, and would probably just injure her more in the process of attempting to help. Thankfully, Skyla didn't fall, and he quickly followed her over the fence in a series of awkward and lanky movements. Scooping up Envy's headcollar and attached lead, he scanned the paddock until he saw her peacefully grazing. Ennn-vyyy! he called loudly. The mare looked up and trotted over docilely, following her companion Dezzy. Eden was dismayed to see that she, too, had rolled. He sighed and didn't even attempt to pluck off the dirt and sand, buckling on her halter and leading her to the fence. He latched the gate behind them and followed Sky up to the stable, turning away from her to go to Envy's stall. He let the mare loose and darted to the feed barn, automatically scooping some of this and weighing some of that, his brain on cruise-control as he made up Envy's feed. It was a complicated process, but Eden had practiced it a hundred times so he wouldn't screw it up, and luckily this time he didn't. He collected a flake of hay and hurried back to Envy's stall.

He returned to the mare and dumped her feed into her manger, shoving a flake of hay into her haynet. Envy eagerly dove into the feed. Eden took that opportunity to strip her of her blanket, dumping a kiss on her nose before taking the short trip to the tack room. After folding the blanket haphazardly and placing it back on its shelf, he fairly skipped back to Envy's stall. He was in high spirits. The morning's humiliation was near forgotten, and he had an entire day with Sky to look forward to. Speaking of, she was waiting for him, kissing his mare's nose happily. Eden smiled. She turned to him and poked his own nose playfully. he put on a thinking face. Definitely keen for pancakes. There's a little diner in town that makes amazing blueberry ones. It's like a five minute walk. Let's go! His excited voice rang out clearly, a smile set firmly on his face. He grasped Sky's hand and after checking Envy's door was locked, fairly tugged the hazel-eyed girl out of the stables.

"Ohhhh. I love blueberry!" She squealed, a bit too childish and enthusiastic. The girl recognized her mistake a moment too late to catch it, and a light red color tinted her cheeks as her gaze darted away. A nervous laugh escaped her before Eden's hand was in hers, and he was dragging her to this diner. A few minutes later, their pace slowed-allowing Sky to get a good look around them. The sun had risen high in the sky, and was shedding it's warm rays down on the town. Very few people were walking around, through it was only to be expected. It wasn't even nine in the morning yet. Eden pulled her into a diner, a small bell sounding their arrival. Skyla smiled at this and inhaled the delicious aromas of breakfast food. It made her even more hungry, and the girl's stomach rumbled faintly.

She dragged her gaze around the place, happy that it was exactly what she had expected. A handful of tables were scattered around, the only other seating being several tall barstools lined up along the counter. Fake plants were shoved into corners, and the lighting would have been dim, had one wall not have been covered in clean windows. Few people were eating, but then again it was much too early for people to be up and ready. Sky pulled Eden to the counter, climbing on top of one of the barstools. She let go of his hand and spun around once, chuckling at her childish antics. It was too early in the morning to think about maturity. She needed coffee; or not. That would probably only intensify her silliness. "Wheeeeeeee." She said, spinning around once more. Blinking, Sky stopped herself, an odd expression on her face as she turned to Eden. "Yeah... its too early for me." She stated, shaking her head softly.

Once her companion had seated himself at once, she turned toward the counter and cleared her throat, waiting for a waitress. When she sauntered over, the girl took and immediate dislike to the woman. She was around Sky's age, perhaps a little older. Her hair was dyed a light, pixie blond, and curled messily, her bangs pinned back. Her name tag read 'Stacy', pinned loosely on her apron. 'Stacy' was, in Skyla's opinion, wearing too much make-up... for a job at least. Perhaps she would have fit in at a club or something. Her top was cut too low, and her chest was clearly visible. At this the brown-haired teenager narrowed her eyes for a split second. Stacy raised her eyebrows at Sky, apparently returning the dislike. "What do you want to eat?" She said, leaning in toward Sky slightly, keeping her eyebrows raised. Sky leaned forward as well, reaching up to scratch her cheek briefly. "Blueberry pancakes, eggs, and apple juice." She replied, narrowing her eyes slightly. Stacy straightened up and wrote it all down, turning to Eden for the first time.

Her eyes widened momentarily, and she smiled, her teeth ultra-white. "And you," She giggled, leaning onto the counter with her mega-watt smile. "What would you like. I'm pretty sure everything is available." Her voice rose on everything, so that it was emphasized. What. The. Hell. Sky thought, leaning closer to Eden and turning toward him. "Mhmm. What do you want to eat?" She smiled, thinking of ten ways to kill "Stacy" in under two minutes.
