PERSONALITY
Tandava is a fiesty mare. She likes to run, and she gets extremely anxious at mealtimes. It is an absolute mystery but she expects that every meal will be her last, so she causes quite a riot in her desperation to get to her dinner. She gets jealous if she's not fed first and if you're out riding her and she hears the rattle of a grain bin, no amount of coaxing in the world can get her to continue working. The thoroughbred in her causes her to be a very anxious horse. One minute she may be extremely fussy, the next she could be annoyed because you're being so slow. However she is amazingly beautiful to watch in motion. Tandava was born to move and it's evident in the fluidity and grace in each of her steps. Tandy is a very talented horse, however she is still slightly green. She tends to get excitable a lot and her rider needs to be on the ball. When she's concentrating she will do marvellous stuff. She's a fast and clean jumper, however she needs practicing in dressage as she tends to get bored and sidetracked. She likes to surprise and will constantly play up and test your strength and self-control. She is an excellent horse with a lot of courage but she needs to be brought to attention constantly as she has a bad habit of forgetting what she's doing and wandering off.
HISTORY
Tandava was bought as a yearling in a bulk lot purchased by Saxon's mother, Evie Kingsley, as part f her new 'youngsters' for training. There were about seven horses in the lot and each were completely green. Evie began work on a couple of them, moving the others out to pasture. Tandy was one of the ones moved to pasture, and it was part of twelve-year-old Saxon's job to feed and brush the yearlings every day after school. The first couple of days went fine, however soon Saxon began to notice an extremely pushy filly barging her way to the front at mealtimes, a frantic look in her eyes. The unnamed horse was, of course, Tandava, but at this time she was known simply as 'the brown one'. Saxon curiously began to watch the filly every day and noticed how beautiful she was when she moved. Soon 'the brown one' was changed to 'Fatso' as the filly refused to wait her turn. As the young horse hit two years old, Saxon turned thirteen and asked her mother if she could start training the mare herself, with Evie's help of course. Saxon had never taken a liking to one particular horse before, as she was used to horses constantly moving in and out of Whitecross, so Evie curiously agreed. Tandava was moved to priority and the mother and daughter team began breaking and training the mare. When she was under saddle and had begun to develop some nice jumping skills, Saxon entered them as a pair in a junior showjumping compeition. It failed miserably. Tandava freaked out at the amount of people and threw Saxon. Nevertheless, Saxon was determined to make a champion out of the mare, and relentlessly continued training. Eventually Tandava settled down and they quickly began to rise through the ranks of the showjumping league. Tandy has been the only horse Saxon has ridden since she became a teenager and the pair are instantly recognisable together.
