Trakehner's are naturally intelligent and very keen to please. Serenity takes it up to the next level. Serenity's temperment was judged to be that of a horse of a beginning rider. The mare is in no way timid, but she hardly ever acts out. The only problems the previous owners have seen with her was her fear of snakes. River has to take special precautions to make sure there are no snakes in the area before letting the mare into the paddock. Other than her ophidiophobia, she's perfectly content to be pushed to be her best and follow orders.
HISTORY
Serenity was born on a farm called Norwayne Stables to a boisterious mare. The sire was a rowdy farm horse while the dam was a washout in any type of showing. Serenity's chances for staying on the farm and never leaving were almost absolute. That was, however, until the owner, Mrs. Minne, noticed how different she was from her parents. The woman strapped a saddle on the filly and tried out her general disposition. Step by step, the pair worked until Serenity was easy enough to ride that she could be sold to a riding school as a beginner horse.
The vet of the area, Naomi Billman, heard of the owner's plans for the horse and offered up a tidy sum to buy the filly. She gave the horse to River the minute she showed exicement in going to Windsore. River fell in love. Both took to each other's cues and within weeks, and Naomi's help, River and Serenity were a team that were rising to the top.
