Ainsley's mom died when Aine was eleven. Driving home from a night out, Kat's car slipped on a patch of black ice and rolled, killing her instantly. Kat was a definite party animal, and Ainsley's father sees a lot of his dead wife in his daughter.

JACOB HARPER, father, 41.
Jacob misses his wife, Kat, very much, and the resemblance between her and Ainsley is strong. A wealthy computer software designer, he knows that it's just easier to give his daughter what she wants. Jacob doesn't like conflict, so whatever Ainsley wants, she gets. He knows he shouldn't spoil her, but he just can't face a displeased Aine.

PERSONALITY
Ainsley's a bitch. There is no two ways about it. Majority of those who meet her hate her, and this air-headed hippie just does not care. Aine likes to get drunk, and by drunk I mean head in the toilet bowl, mascara dripping to her chin, vomit everywhere, pounding hangover the next morning, what-the-fuck-did-I-do-last-night wicked hammered drunk. She's a little older than the rest of the students at Windsor, but that in no way means she is wiser. In fact, she's probably less intelligent than a twelve-year-old. Life experience means nothing to her. Every experience she's ever had has been forgotten in a black hole of memory loss, remembered only by legendary stories and epic pictures on Facebook. It's a wonder she manages to stay on the back of her horse long enough to complete a course. Despite her bitchy nature, party habits and foul mouth, Ainsley is a strong competitor and has been on the circuit since middle school. She doesn't really have the patience for dressage, but she is fierce in the jumping, so her scores even out so that she comes out near the top. She competes in three-day eventing, and if she stopping drinking and partying for long enough to train harder, she would be unstoppable. But alas, Ainsley is really only interested in the next party.

PHYSICAL APPEARANCE
The most predominant part of Ainsley's physical appearance is the hair. Waist length, bright blonde, Ainsley's hair is a veritable bird's nest. She almost never brushes it and it is in a constant state of bed-head, tangled almost beyond repair. Aine has pale blue-grey eyes that are usually ringed in eyeliner and glitter eyeshadow, and her nose sports a silver hoop. Her skin is actually quite freckled, which she rather detests and often covers in makeup. Ainsley stands at 5'9" and has a slim frame. Her fashion sense is where everything goes haywire. Glitter, sequins, leather... and that's just on a normal day. Ainsley likes to be the centre of attention, and she dresses accordingly. She owns enough accessories to support a small country, and far too many sequinned jackets for her own good. Clown vomit is a popular way to express how she dresses, and it's really something you have to see to believe.

HISTORY
Kat and Jacob had Ainsley when they were barely in their twenties. It was a mistake that shouldn't have happened, but it did. Kat wasn't ready to give up the best years of her life for a stupid kid, so she continued partying like there was no tomorrow, leaving Jacob to look after Ainsley. This was how the young girl's life continued until she was eleven, until there was no tomorrow for Kat any more. On her way home from a party, Kat's car slipped on some ice and she was killed in the ensuing crash. Something that Ainsley has never told anyone was that her mother was drunk at the time. She prefers to let them think it was a tragic accident, when in fact it was her mother's stupidity that killed her. Ainsley has a lot of anger inside her because of her mother's mistakes. Jacob was now a single father, and luckily his software business was taking off, so he had plenty of money to care for them both. Ainsley grew up having everything she wanted, which is a big part of why she is the way she is. Ainsley's biggest fear is becoming like her mother, and dying young. A part of her feels like she's going to end up like Kat, and so Ainsley desperately clings to life with both hands.
