linda engle: mother. bad blood bewteen these two, ever since linda disowned her son in favor of matthew's barbie trio.
dean lawson (deceased): biological father. felix loved his father and misses him terribly. it was dean's will that allowed felix to buy his mare, and enroll at sycamore.
mathew engle: step-father. at first tried hard to make felix like him, then decided why not start my own family and gave up. feigns a male-bonding relationship when linda is present.
daniella engle: step-sister. hates felix. period.
nicolette engle: half-sister. somewhat sickeningly nice to her half-brother.
olivia engle: half-sister. two words: total brat. always gets her way.

PERSONALITY
felix is quite a sheltered person once you first meet him. he can be quite shy, but once he likes you and you've been stamped into his good books, he feels completely free around you. once you're a friend of felix's, you're a friend for life. he's very loyal, yet keep in mind that it can be hard to get him to like you. he's not good with new people and finds it hard to make friends, he doesn't feel he's good enough. he will not hide anything from you once you're a friend, so don't get alarmed if he parades around in his boxers.

once you get past his barriers, he's a very loving person and very welcoming. he's beautiful on the inside and out, and a truly awesome person to boot. he'll always be there for you and he's very trusting. yet, he's extremely easy-going and laid-back, and not much bothers him. he's a good listener but not all that much of a talker, so he tends to pair up with talkative people, because they love to talk and he loves to listen. he's a real sweetie, and will do everything in his power to cheer you up. he's an expert hugger, and one of mister lawson's hugs can brighten up the most awful day.

he's obsessed with music, and he's very talented as well. he's played guitar since he was 9, and he sings as well. he'll always be keeping a rhythm somehow, and his beloved guitar manages to go everywhere with him. for some reason, there'll always be a guitar pick in his pocket. he loves to play with them. don't ask why. felix is one of those riders who takes care of every single tiny minute detail to make sure that his horse is properly cared for and looked after. he loves to ride and goes to a quiet place when he does. felix adores all horses and can sometimes forget that humans actually exist.

PHYSICAL APPEARANCE
felix has been blessed with huge brown eyes that are very expressive. they betray his every thought and feeling to those who can read them properly. he’s an expert pouter, and his eyes widen deliciously whenever he wants something. they’re usually quite dreamy, though they range from sad to happy to extreme-concentration-ness. felix's hair. haha. now, the first thing you must know about his hair, is that it is something special, and will manage to look good in any weather, condition or style. it’s cut in a style that looks perfect on him, and is an object of envy to some, lust to others. it’s dark brown, and has a thick fringe that falls over one eye, and it shorter at the back. sometimes he’ll spike it up, but he hardly ever brushes it. he usually goes with the easy-going, bed-head look, because, personally, he can’t be stuffed and knows it’ll look good anyway.

felix has the entire emorexic thing happening. he weighs 100 pounds, or slightly under, and he’s tall, so he looks reaaallllyyy skinny. which he is. people sometimes worry about him being anorexic, which is completely the opposite. he eats the most of anyone he knows, yet somehow, without doing a single sit-up, it slides right off him. his metabolism is out-of-this-world fast. He stand at exactly six foot, so he is usually hunched over or slouching to make himself shorter. i guess you could say he dresses like the regular scene kid or rock star. which, technically, he is. though don’t say that to him. the whole skinny-jeans, band tee, vans thing suits him, and he is always found in this ensemble. he has a brown newsboy cap that he likes to wear, as it is the only cap that looks good on him. felix also has a small tattoo of a rose on his wrist. it's only a couple centimetres long, but the vivid green of the stem and blood red of the petals make it somewhat noticeable. he drew the tattoo himself and had it inked on his sixteenth birthday, the second it was legal. the tattoo is in remembrance of his father; but more importantly, of felix's old life. one petal has fallen from the rose, symbolising the shedding of his past from the blooming rose that is felix himself.

HISTORY
it was a cold november day when martin eugene lawson was born to linda and dean lawson, three years before the oldest of his sisters. a lot would change in those three years, but let’s start at the beginning. martin (soon to be felix) grew up in a stifled environment where he was pressured to be the best. the best at school, the best at sports (even though he was the most unco kid ever), and, the best at music. they enrolled him in every extra-curricular subject they thought a well-brought-up boy should do. now, martin hated this all, but he put on a politely smiling face and got on with it, because he loved his parents. one day his parents, sick of martin absmally failing at every P.E. class ever invented, decided horseback riding was the go. martin immediately fell in love with horses, and found he was good at riding. his teacher encouraged him to develop his talent and his parents supported him all the way.

however, a few months after martin turned nine, dean died in a car accident. martin was distraught and linda was, too... until she met mathew engle and married him. three months after dean’s death. this enraged martin so much, he refused to speak to his mother. mathew had a six year old daughter, daniella, and she was the perfect daughter in every way. martin immediately hated his new step-sister. a year after linda and mathew’s marriage, nicolette engle was born, martin’s half-sister, and ten months later olivia was born, completing the trio of barbies. each girl was blonde, blue-eyed, beautiful and perfect. martin, however, was a dark-haired, dark-eyed boy who was obsessed with his horses. he had unofficially changed his detested name, martin eugene engle, to felix lawson, taking his father’s name, and would later permanently take the name when he was the legal age of sixteen, and was the outcast of the family.

linda's entire attitude towards her son changed. she attended less and less of his competitions, and soon stopped going altogether. it wasn't until felix was older that he found out about his inheritance. as his father's only child, he recieved a large sum of money. he immediately began hunting for a horse, and soon found the perfect one; a stunning kiger mustang mare that he named jasmine. an invitation to windsor academy arrived one day in the mail, and without even thinking, he decided it was the perfect escape.
