FAMILY MEMBERS
Biological mother
DUSTIN HOBDAY; 38
Owner of Saracen Event Centre/worldwide eventing competitor.
Dustin is Jake's Dad. They get on well, because Dustin gives Jake alot of freedom, and when he doesnt agree with something he tries to reason rather than demand. Dustin has taken over the family business at Saracen Farm, which is a stud and competition yard. He attended Sycamore Acadamy which was the leading equitation school at the time, and thinks it will give Jake a real good start in the right direction to continue the family business, to which Dustin and his wife are international comeptitors and highly ranked..
Mother
AUDRINA HOBDAY; 37
Owner Saracen Event Centre/worldwide showjumping competitor.
Audrina married Dustin not long after they left Sycamore Academy. Aud competes internationally in showjumping, as well as being a mother to two teenage boys and also running a massive equine establishment, something only Aud would be capable of. Audrina and Dylan have a close relationship and Dylan is much more like his mother than his father.
Big brother
JAKE HOBDAY; 18
Windsor Academy student.
Jake and Dylan have a tumultuous relationship. They often get on quite well but Jake can be ridiculously arrogant and is very much the alpha male. He has quick temper and this is often directed at Dylan. The two brothers are both very sporty and are very competitive with each other. However, Jake does have a protective side and is always defensive of his little brother and helps him out when it's needed.
PERSONALITY
While his brother Jake is very similar to their father, Dylan is a balanced mix between his parents. He has Audrina's traits of optimism and a good nature, while his confidence and attention-seeking streaks are stemmed straight from Dustin. Dylan is good-natured and easy-going, however the second he settles into the saddle he is all business. You haven't seen focus until you've seen Dylan jump. He is a determined and gutsy rider with nerves of steel. He loves to win and suffers quite terribly from 'Little Brother Syndrome'. His big brother Jake has always been in the limelight and Dylan has to fight hard for his turn in centre stage. Now that he's at Windsor Academy he hopes to carve out a space for his own name, instead of being known as 'Jake Hobday's brother'.
Like all in the Hobday bloodline, Dylan is very into sports, preferring field hockey and lacrosse to the traditional football and rugby. He is the star of the lacrosse team and plays center on the hockey team, so it's safe to say this is one area in which he particularly shines, because his brother doesn't play either of these stick sports. Dylan's constant fitness training render him fairly solid and he is always bouncing on the balls of his feet. He is a regular adrenalin junkie and so is perfectly suited to his discipline of cross-country.
When he's not on the course, Dylan is a really sweet and chilled-out guy. He makes friends easily and most people gravitate towards his brown eyes and dimpled smile. He is just generally a fun and caring person to be around, but whenever his brother is around he changes. He becomes cocky and a little arrogant, his words spoken louder, his gestures stronger. Dylan is always trying to catch up to Jake. Don't get me wrong; he loves his brother, and would do anything for him. The problem is that he hates Jake almost as much as he loves him and sometimes its hard being pushed to the corner of the spotlight.LIKES

PHYSICAL APPEARANCE
Dylan is drop dead gorgeous. There's no two ways about it. The combination of Audrina Cole's genes merged with those of Dustin Hobday apparently agreed very well with nature, because both Hobday boys are miracles of reproduction. Where Jake is strong and angular, Dylan is baby-faced and rounded. His dimpled cheeks and long eyelashes make him look a little bit younger than he actually is, but his height more than makes up for that. Dylan is tall. And when I say tall, I mean fold-yourself-in-thirds-to-get-into-the-car, duck-your-head-under-the-doorframe, seventeen-hands-horse kind of tall. He is taller than almost everyone he knows, excepting his father.
Dylan's best feature is definitely his hair. Brown like chocolate, kind of floppy, always falls in the right place. The awkward cut of it looks terrible after a couple hours under a helmet, but a runthrough of his fingers it sorts itself out. His eyes are a shade of bluey-green and are the owners of the world's prettiest blink. However their corneas aren't the best and he has to wear black wire-rimmed glasses when he's reading, a habit he absolutely hates and blushes bright red when he pulls out the case in class. Somehow they suit him and aren't all that unattractive; maybe it has to do with his lips. A nonstop habit of biting his lower lip is alluring, endearing and childish all at the same time. All in all, Dylan is a pretty attractive dude.
HISTORY
After leaving Sycamore Academy, Audrina and Dustin continued their rocky relationship for a couple more years until Dustin finally took the plunge and asked her to marry him. Settling into their starter home, the newlyweds began their careers and within five years both were dominating the international circuit. Things continued and they took over Saracen Event Centre while continuing to compete. Soon Audrina fell pregnant and gave birth to Jake, and a year later Dylan joined them. Their family was complete and the super-couple were well on their way to the top of the world.
Growing up on a huge horse property and with parents such as his own, it's no surprise to find out Dylan was riding pretty much before he could walk. It's been natural to be in the saddle and he's much more comfortable on a horse than on his own legs. His first pony was a gorgeous little Shetland called Maxie, who taught him everything, including what it felt like to be bucked off. After he grew out of Maxie, a neverending train of horses followed, moving up in size and talent as Dylan did the same. He started on the show circuit and the Hobday brothers began to dominate in showjumping and cross-country. Dylan started off in showjumping, as it was the family's business, but when he discovered he would always be second-best, he tried cross-country. He fell in love with the adrenalin and fast pace of the sport and found his niche in the horse world. Dylan never really was a rebellious teenager and so he never had the experiences that Jake did - Dylan was much more focused on training to be the best. He was determined to outshine his brother, just once. Up came the junior championships and Dylan won gold in cross-country. A letter was extended to each of the Hobday brothers and Dylan moved to Windsor Academy, where his brother would be closer than ever and harder to beat.
