• Emma Deths{mother}- Emma married River's father right out of high school and in three years, River and Zoe were born. The strain of twins brought the happy couple down and Emma was forced to divorce her high school sweetheart. However, she easily pushed her pain to the side to help be the mother she wanted to be. Emma's social personality makes her a part of both girls' lives. She helps with homework, does hair for dances, and talks anytime it's possible. Emma tries to stay away from picking favorites, seeing as how much damage it did to her sister's self esteem, but she automatically clicks with Zoe, sometimes leaving River out of the convo.
  
  
• Luke Deths{father}- Father of Zoe and River, Luke was high school jock-extraordinaire. He could master any type of sport and loved to pass that down to his girls the year or so he lived with them. Luke never forgets birthdays and always buys whatever either of the twins needs. In the back of both the twins' minds, they know it's because he feels guilty for not being there. But Luke always tries to connect with his daughters with constant phone calls, texts, or IMs. Neither River or Zoe have the heart to tell him that "I <3 you -dad" is not a cool message to have on your facebook page.
  
  
• Zoe Deths{twin sister}- Zoe was always Batman and River was always Robin when the two flitted around the apartment when they were young. Zoe likes to kick ass if anything upsets her. Or annoys her. Or bores her. Physically or mentally, she's not one to mess with. River loves her twin, especially in some situations, but there are times where Zoe's stubborness tends to cloud her thinking. But even after the tough times, it'll always be them against the world.
  
  
  
• Naomi Billman{aunt}- Navy was the one who convinced River to tell her mother about the newest area of expertise in horseback riding academies.
  

Personality

River is a really a river. She tends to go with the flow and only rocks the boat when a situation arises. Her logical thinking always lands her the role of brainiac, but being the leader wouldn't be so bad if she weren't so shy. Something always stitches her mouth shut whenever she meets someone new without her twin. Leading is out of the question without Zoe's encouragement.

Appearance

With dark brown tresses only slightly longer than Zoe's, rockin' body, and a complexion as clear as day, River could be anything she wanted; model, actress, athlete. It's almost impossible for her to find a way to mess up her looks, but she does it. If it weren't for Zoe, River would be labeled as the bag lady. She loves form covering fabrics and dark colors. Anything else is a culture shock to her. Thankfully, Zoe cleans out her stash of 'comfy' clothes and replaces them with high end, low price outfits that show off every part of her body imaginable.

Zoe's body is like a picture out of a magazine. Her years as a ballerina have given her the type of body other girls crave. Abs that are defined enough and arms that are completely lean muscle. The only 'semi-bulky' part of her body is her legs. Compared to point ballet, horseback riding is easy on the legs. She still has to work out everyday to keep up her form, but she's not at all worried about it slipping.

History

River was the first to be born into the world. Well, into Wayne County Hospital. After Luke and Emma married, they packed up every single possession between the two and headed out of New York to the rolling hills of northeastern Ohio. The neighbors left something to be desired. Rednecks did not make good company. So they moved once more until they settled near Aunt Naomi in Maine. The first year of the twins' lives were good. Money was good and Aunt Naomi helped whenever she could from her job as an equine vet.

By the time Luke and Emma's divorce was final, the girls were two and a half. At the time, River was studying to be a prima ballerina. All her teachers said she showed great promise. But funds started to sink with only one working parent and River withdrew from class. Emma sold the house and moved in with Naomi. She had a barn, two horses, and enough dogs to herd a couple hundred cattle. River was in heaven. She rode the horses whenever Naomi was around and Emma wasn't. For some reason, her mother had a fear that'd she hurt herself. It never happened. The dogs loved her, too. They'd follow her endlessly because of the table scraps she gave them. Even the cows knew the whenever River was there, happiness was abundant. River kept dancing in her spare time, too, and if being a 'horsie rider' wasn't going to work out, being a prima ballerina wouldn't be all that bad.

Naomi noticed River's change in personality when people were substituted with animals. She eagerly showed River the proper way to ride English and soon, presented her with a horse of her own. The two practiced whenever they could. River applied for all the financial aid she could get once her aunt told her about her old high school's daughter school. Windsor Academy. Even the name sounded like it belonged teach royals. A combination of her grades, academics, and a little bit of luck got her and Zoe accepted.
