FAMILY MEMBERS
Biological mother
LAUREN CASSIDY; 32
occupation/whereabouts unknown.
Lauren had Saxon when she was fifteen years old. Needless to say she wasn't near ready enough to take on the responsibility of a child; she couldn't even stick with one guy longer than a week. She put Saxon up for adoption when she was a month old.
Biological father
JUSTIN SOMETHING; possibly 34
occupation/whereabouts unknown.
Truthfully, Justin is so far removed from Saxon's story that he's not even worth mentioning. His genes make up half of Saxon and that's basically his entire contribution to his daughter's life. He met Lauren at a party and fathered her child around four hours later. The party ended and Lauren never saw him again; she doesn't even know his last name. He doesn't even know that Saxon exists.
Adoptive mother
EVANGELINE KINGSLEY; 39
horse trainer and part-time artist.
Evie is a very calm person, rather the opposite to her adoptive daughter's personality. She resides in the house beside Whitecross Equestrian, the horse farm she owns and manages. Evie is a talented horse trainer and often has several young 'projects' on the go. Whitecross is also home to several agisted horses. Evie is a single parent and does her job well; she occasionally has boyfriends but usually it is just her and Saxon.
PERSONALITY
Saxon is a little bit notorious for being the 'party girl' of the showjumping circuit. She isn't afraid to go after what she wants and if she sets her sights on something, she usually gets it. I guess you could call it determination, but Saxon takes it to a whole new level. She won't stop until she's achieved the goal she's set for herself. She loves to be in control and is always the chaser, not the chasee. Once Saxon has decided on a guy she won't stop until she gets him on the bedroom, and it's only there that she relinquishes control and lets him take over. A guy who knows what he's doing and what he wants really turns her on.
Hardcore competitive, winning is always on her mind. She hates losing and if she does, will mull over it for weeks and weeks and become sour to everyone. She is always one step ahead of everyone else and always planning ahead, using people to her advantage. Some people would call it manipulative and bitchy, but to Saxon it's just being smart and strategic. Her goal is to become number one and she's going to do whatever she can to get there.
As for horses, Saxon has an inbuilt talent with these creatures. Having grown up on a horse farm, she's been around the animals ever since she could remember, and with her mother as her tutor, she has developed a natural skill to train horses. Every horse Saxon has ever owned has been bought as a yearling and trained by the Kingsley mother-and-daughter team. Because of this, Saxon has a strong bond with her mounts.
She's fun-loving and always up for a challenge. It's best not to utter the words 'I dare you...' around her, because no matter what the dare is, Saxon will do it. It's not that she's fearless, because she is terrified of some things, it's just that she is up for anything. She takes everything in her stride and nothing much fazes her, except for when a guy gets under her skin. Like I said earlier, Saxon loves control, and if someone takes that away from her she feels lost and confused. She is terrified of falling for someone. She wants to concentrate 100% on competing and winning, and falling for a guy would distract her from this goal. Saxon is fiery and full of spirit and is practically the king of sarcasm.
It might be a wise idea to just ignore this girl all together, but sometimes, that’s just impossible.LIKES

PHYSICAL APPEARANCE
Let's start with the face. Saxon is pretty in an earthy, natural way. She has brown almond-shaped eyes that are framed with long sooty lashes. She has a healthy tan from always being in the sun but pale-skinned genes mean she has to apply sunscreen each day or risk being burnt. Saxon's nose ends in a little ski jump, hardly noticeable. Her lips are a good size for her oval face and generally she's an attractive girl. She was born with dark brown hair but occasionally dyes it a honey blonde. Relatively skinny, she's a slender, slight girl and has very little muscle, at least on the surface. She can haul haybales and keep a tight hold on a runaway horse, but in the gym she fails miserably. She's also extremely clumsy and can barely stand upright without tripping over. Saxon weighs around 122 lbs and stands at a slightly taller than average five foot eight.
One thing about Saxon is she has a tendency to zone a lot. This isn't her being deliberately rude or anything, she's just quite the daydreamer. When she is feeling thoughtful or is staring into space, you will often find her expression take on a dreamy role. She tends to fidget quite a lot, though there isn't any apparent reason for this. She just likes to move around a lot.
It's safe to say Saxon can get away with wearing just about anything. She has the whim to look good in a bin bag. And the creativity to some extent. However, never will you see her caught dead in something so simple. She is all about quirkiness, individuality, being colourful, making her style her own, so that she is unlike anyone else. It has become a norm to associate her with standing out from the crowd, and her clothes reflect that. She has a somewhat daring fashion sense, but her favourite outfit is leggings or jodhs and an oversize t-shirt.
HISTORY
The age of fifteen is never really a good age to get pregnant. Lauren Cassidy found that out the hard way. When her best friend convinced her to go to a party held by a group of popular seniors, Lauren was understandably excited. She spent hours dressing and doing her hair. It paid off, though she got a little more than she bargained for. An hour into the party Lauren had downed several drinks and was starting to feel pleasantly hazy. Enter Justin, an upperclassman with a pretty face and prettier voice. Within minutes he had an arm around Lauren and a hand on the doorknob of an upstairs bedroom. It was over rather quickly and they returned to the party, where Justin Whateverhislastnamewas - Lauren didn't quite catch it - slunk away quite smoothly, blending into the crowd. Lauren, still in her alcohol-induced fog, somehow found her friend and they stumbled home, giggling the whole way about how Lauren had 'scored'.
She had scored, but first prize was a little unexpected. A lot unexpected actually. After a month of stomach cramps and feeling a little off, Lauren realised that she'd skipped her period. Alarm bells started ringing. Lauren ran for the home pregnancy kits and took around ten of them before it finally sunk in. She was pregnant. She kept it a secret from everyone as she frantically tried to hunt down Justin, but he had simply vanished, leaving Lauren stuck with the fruit of his loins. After another month of trying to conceal the growing lump, Lauren's mother walked in when her daughter was taking a shower and promptly screamed the house down. Lauren and her mother had a very serious chat with lots of tears and yelling. Finally Lauren decided she was going to have the baby but give it up for adoption. Both mother and daughter were happy with this arrangement and the pregnancy trundled along, Lauren remaining unusually detached from her unborn child. She didn't form any sort of mother-child relationship with it; instead she saw it as a burden, preventing her from living her normal life.
The seven-month mark rolled around and Lauren began looking for adoptive parents. It wasn't easy, and she couldn't find anyone willing to take a baby from a fifteen-year-old. Lauren by this time was thoroughly sick of her stupid kid and was agreeable to anything. No-one had stepped forward, but Lauren was confident she still had two months to find a family. Five weeks later, Saxon popped out three weeks early and surprised them all. Many years down the track the joke would be made that she was just too excited to see the world to wait any longer, but there is a lot more to the story before we reach that. Lauren was by now, completely freaked out. She still hadn't found a home for her unwanted child and it looked like she was stuck with the living reminder of that party.
Saxon was a delicate and happy baby. She didn't really require much attention and was happily content playing with her fingers and toes, yet Lauren resented her. She desperately continued her search for a family until finally Evie Kingsley stepped into the picture. A pretty young 22-year-old, she already knew she didn't want to marry and had completed the stage of 'finding yourself' that many of her peers were still in. Evie wanted to buy some land and set up her own horse farm and she also wanted a baby - however without a husband or partner, that second wish came down to two options: a sperm bank, or adoption. Since Evie felt there was no need to bring another baby into the world while there was already millions who needed a good home, she did her duty as a good citizen and decided to help someone out. She was in the adoption centre to put her name down on the waiting list when Lauren bowled into the same room, clutching Saxon and demanding to see if anyone had contacted the adoption centre enquiring about her daughter. The clerk shook her head and Lauren sighed in anger. Evie looked into Saxon's deep brown eyes and instantly fell in love. Two hours later she sat in Lauren's living room as the biological mother of her new child rushed around grabbing baby things and thanking her profusely. When papers were signed, nappys were handed over, and hands were shook, Evie turned on her heel and carried Saxon out of Lauren's life; an arrangement both biological mother and daughter were grateful for.
It remained just Saxon and Evie for the next seventeen years, on or off. Evie occasionally had boyfriends, but never for more than a couple of months. The bond between the two women was too tight for anyone else to squeeze into. As Saxon grew, so did Whitecross Equestrian, and soon Evie had people asking her to train their horses or to agist them at her farm. Her reputation began to grow and so did the farm, and soon her name was legendary among the show circuit as the horses she'd trained began winning championships. Saxon began to compete herself, on her mother's horses, and her talents and reputation also began to grow. She became known as one of the best junior showjumpers on the circuit and soon an invitation was extended to her to attend Windsor Academy. Without a second thought she accepted, and was soon moving into the Academy to begin the next chapter of her life.
