Richard is where Poppy got the horse bug from. He's been at the top of the dressage world for quite some time now, cutting his teeth on the junior circuit and rising through the ranks over the years. He taught Poppy everything she knows and now it's time for her to take the reins of the family business.

SARA MONTAGUE, MOTHER, 42.

The creative side of Poppy, Sara is a good mother and the two have the type of relationship that is more of a friendship. That isn't to say that they don't have their fair share of fights. Poppy and Sara tend to get on quite well.

FELIX MONTAGUE, BROTHER, 23.
law student.
Felix didn't catch the horse bug quite as bad as his sister did but he occasionally enters showjumping competitions just to please his father. Felix is currently attending Harvard for law, so it's safe to say this is a high-achieving family.

PERSONALITY
Poppy is unlike anyone you will ever meet. The most accurate word to describe her is whimsical; like a fairy tale. Poppy drifts through life on a breeze of floral patterns and beautiful perfumes. She's a little untouchable in the sense that she's very vague and doesn't really care or listen to anyone much. It's not because she's rude, she's just very easily distracted. A pretty leaf, an interestingly-shaped cloud, and Poppy will lose all focus. This very trait is what makes her so wonderful at dressage. She can pinpoint what her horse is thinking and feeling and tap into their emotions and make them dance for her. She's very in tune with her animal and the people around her. Poppy is excellent at reading auras. She unfortunately pisses people off quite easily. They get annoyed at her constant lack of attention and her ramblings, but if you are the kind of person who can appreciate beauty, then chances are you will get on very well with Miss Montague. She lives for poetry and beauty and is almost always doing something creative, being painting, writing poetry, reading, drawing, knitting, beading, etc. This beautiful and lovely creature is nothing without coffee; she's horribly addicted to the stuff and if she doesn't have a hot shower and a hot coffee in the morning, then I'm sad to say she can be an awfully crabby thing to be around. Poppy is wonderful and vague and odd, but in the most endearing way possible.

PHYSICAL APPEARANCE
Poppy is really quite beautiful, there isn't really a plainer way to say it. She's beautiful in a classical way and does not conform to the conventional style of beauty; that being, short skirts, long hair, heavy makeup, and fake tans. Poppy has long hair and that's the extent of her relationship with conventional beauty. Her hair is a deep brown with subtle golden and copper highlights that were artificially added. Her curls reach just under her shoulder blades and she usually has a blunt, front fringe framing her face, though occasionally she sweeps it to the side. Her eyes are a lovely blue and her eyelashes are extraordinarily long. Poppy is unfortunately rather pale, and a little shorter than average height, so she often employs heels to gain those extra inches. She doesn't dress like anything you would have ever seen. Poppy loves to thrift and shop online and so has a fantastic collection of clothes to mix and match. She is extremely partial to floral patterns and loose shorts, also favoring leather jackets and gorgeous heels. When she is riding that doesn't stop her dressing wonderfully; black jodhpurs will be paired with a vintage top, cropped jacket and rosary beads. Poppy doesn't dress for fashion, she dresses for love, and it's evident in every outfit.
