Other Family Members: michael logan stevens -- father, hardly ever in the same timezone has his family, michael's more of a money supply than a father. making sure to feed the family's expansive bank account, mike has made sparse appearances throughout the children's life, usually around birthdays or large holidays.
kathlene michelle stevens -- mother, kitty is not the most maternal woman alive, spending most of her time shopping, at the spa, or knocked out due to a mixture of sleeping mills and mimosas by the pool. fabulous but distant, she's hardly counted for a mother but more as someone to sign school papers.
dylan randall stevens -- brother, akyn's brother is definitely her closest friend. he seems to be the only one who understands that she actually can be a nice person, despite her bitchy exterior. having grown up in a joke of a family together, the two sort of clung to each other for emotional support.

Personality: it's impossible to stress this point enough, akyn is a cunt. she is a straight-forward, vindictive girl who will do anything in her power to get what she wants, regardless of what might happen. she is very self-serving and she is the most important person in her life. however, if one can push themselves past the monumental walls she has put up for herself and give her a chance to stop making fun of you long enough to get to know you, akyn can be one of the greatest friends you will ever have, besides your horse. and no one can compete with the bond between akyn and her horse.
akyn thinks pretty fucking highly of herself. she's fully aware of how fashionable, interesting, smart, clever, fun, and a great rider she is and doesn't understand why the whole world hasn't recognized this fact yet. however, to contradict that, she is not egotistical or big-headed, but fairly humble about the fact. she just.. she just has a healthy ego about herself. akyn is incredibly comfortable in her own skin and with who she is, never wavering for another person or second-guessing herself.
to those she cares about, akyn harbors a loyalty only rivaled by that of a golden retriever. this is the kind of girl who sticks up for her friends to the end, not afraid to fight for those she loves, or in defense of. if you're one of the lucky few to be close to her heart, prepare yourself for constant affection shown through gifts and grander gestures. akyn loves to dote on her friends and loved ones, knowing she's hard to put up with and wanting to thank them for keeping her around.
initially, akyn comes off as a bitch. after you get to know her, you'll still think she's a bitch. this is due to the fact that she is, in fact, a bitch. upon first meeting her, if you aren't already a bit put off by her wardrobe choice, akyn will have no problem pointing out things about you she doesn't like such as making shitty comments about what you may be wearing or pointing out something stupid you may have said. she finds entertainment in the embarrassment and misery of others. bummer for you, i know.

Appearance: akyn stands at about 5'5", fairly taller than your average girl. and let me tell you, it's all legs. her bottom half makes up at least two thirds of her body. despite being fairly tall, her weight remains low, barely over one hundred and fifteen pounds. it goes without saying that she is as thin as a twig and is equally, yet almost generously compared to her body type, amounted in her breast and butt area. she has that model figure, but definitely not the "miss america" way to back it up.
akyn loves her hair. probably a bit too much. her chocolate brown, wavy locks that cascade down to the middle of her back are her pride and joy. not many girls rock the brunette these days, but akyn does it with style.
akyn has very outwardly set, very large, dark brown eyes. ironically enough, they give off a look of innocence, similar to big puppy eyes.
described by her peers as a 'hot mess', akyn considers her style a blend between heroin chic and the new york street wear. essentially, she wears whatever the fuck she wants, disregarding any unsaid fashion rules or stipulations about her wardrobe, mixing and mashing together style concepts that normally wouldn't go.
overall, akyn looks like she would be most at home at a sex pistols show, with an abundance of black, red, and studded leather lining her wardrobe. if you were to look in her closet, you would see a mosaic of designer clothing and diy ideas gone awry. to say the least, akyn does not dress like any other girl she knows, and she likes it that way.
to look at her, you would never know she was a horse lover. but she is. and though her closet consists of designer clothing, he dresser drawers are nothing but breeches, dirty jeans, riding boots, and field boots.

History: akyn's birth was the last attempt the stevens's gave to save their crumbling marriage. akyn was not a product of love and devotion, like her older brother. instead, she was their feeble attempt at rekindling their dead flame. the two were hardly in the same state for more than a few hours and only for special occasions, so it goes without saying that the baby did not help remedy their dying love. born into a family with hardly any affection or support, it isn't terribly surprising akyn grew to be the cold person she is. in fact, if she were emotionally stable it would be shocking and weird.

a bitch from the start, akyn wasn't ever really taught to censor herself, causing her to have trouble making friends from an early age. and by trouble, i mean inability. something about her making fun of a girl's last season patent leather mary janes made her whole kindergarden class despise her. lucky for her, these would be the same thirty children she would spend the next eight years of her life going to school with. outside of her brother, akyn didn't have any friends.

eight years did not happen. by the time akyn hit middle school, the board was insisting that she be sent to a special school for children who needed an alternative approach to learning. her mother tried to protest for as long as she could. kathlene did not want to put any more effort in to her useless daughter's life than she had to. eventually, akyn was sent to an alternative school when she was in 5th grade. it was close to a horseback riding academy. every day akyn sat in class and stared out the window of the room, watching horse and rider practice jumps and dressage drills.

akyn asked her mom to put her in lessons when she was 11 years old. kathlene almost refused until dylan said he would give her rides to and from. that sealed the deal. and from then on, akyn threw herself in to riding. in her first competition, she did a first level dressage class and an intermediate jumping course. she took third in dressage and placed a surprising second in jumping. it was only uphill from there. she enrolled in windsor academy her eighth grade year on an offer she received from one of the administrators when they watched her preform at an eventing meet. that meet she placed 3rd all around.

from the looks of her, you would not assume that she owned a horse and was a top level eventer and shower. but she is. do not let her looks or attitude deceive you.
