Personality:
Nick seems to have avoided the Steel boy personality genes. He never really gets angry, though if you do get him angry watch out, he would rather try to solve an issue diplomatically instead of with his fists, and he actually tries in school. He likes to listen to people and what they have to say, especially if they want to get it off their chest. He has spent hours before just listening to his friends complain or talk about issues.
However to get into his head and find out what his secrets are, is a very hard task indeed. He is not one to trust that easily. He prefers to keep things very close to the vest. The only one who truly knows everything is his twin sister.

Appearance:
Nick is tall and lanky, like most teenage boys. He is also muscular from riding horses all of his life. He has dark blond hair that covers the tips of his ears. He inherited the icy blue eyes of both his father and uncle. He has a scar over his eyebrow from running into a table when he was little, and one on leg from a bad riding accident.

History:
William Steel was the younger of a set of twins. He also happened to be the wild card out of the four siblings. He grew up being disruptive and always getting into trouble. He was even worse than his oldest brother, Matt. When he graduated he floated around without really any ambition. He drank, did drugs, and worked as a bartender. In between jobs, he would stay on his brother’s ranch, earning some pay while having steady board. But he would often leave and get back in his rut.
During one of these ruts Will met a girl who was as into the party scene as he was. They dated for about a year, but she ended up pregnant with twins. Since she was only just out of college, she wasn’t really ready to have kids, but they decided to go ahead with having them. These twins were Nicholas and Brook. However after about a year, Lindsay decided she really couldn’t handle them and left the three.
This of course led Will to be extremely stressed. He moved back to the ranch, so he would have help raising his two beautiful children. They really were beautiful, and were also very happy babies. However things turned bad when the twins were two, and Will’s twin brother died unexpectedly. Nathan had been very stressed out and developed an ulcer, which went undiagnosed and ruptured, causing him to lose a lot of blood and dying. This death sent Will into a state of depression, and one night he left the house, leaving his two children in better hands.
So the children were raised on the Blue Creek Ranch with their uncle Matt and cousin Ricky watching over them. They were both put on horses very young and grew up in a stable atmosphere. Nick’s first pony was Man of Reason (Raisin for short) while Brook’s was Angel. The two were healthy and got along great. They started school and went through the grades.
It was in school that the twins were separated for the first time. Brook turned out to be extremely smart, and it was decided for her own good that she skip ahead a grade. So they twins were separated, and started to branch out a little.
However, when they were seven they’re father came back to the ranch with his wife, who was far along expecting another set of twins. He had met the lady when he was really down and out. She helped him get cleaned up, and he eventually married her. He knew he shouldn’t take his twins away from what they were used to, so he asked his brother if he could live and work on the ranch. Matt agreed, as he still loved his younger brother.
Nick was a little wary of this stranger, as he couldn’t remember his father. However soon he warmed up to his father, especially since Will would help Nick with his riding. Since the twins were excellent riders, it was decided that for high school they would go to a school that dealt with riding, which after some consideration led the pair being enrolled in Windsor Academy in adjacent years. Brooke graduated last year and is back working at the ranch she grew up in, while Nick is still finishing up his year at WA.
