• Emma Deths{mother}- Emma married Zoe's father right out of high school and in three years, River and Zoe were born. The strain of twins brought the happy couple down and Emma was forced to divorce her high school sweetheart. However, she easily pushed her pain to the side to help be the mother she wanted to be. Emma's social personality makes her a part of both girls' lives. She helps with homework, does hair for dances, and talks anytime it's possible. Emma tries to stay away from picking favorites, seeing as how much damage it did to her sister's self esteem, but she automatically clicks with Zoe.
  
  
• Luke Deths{father}- Father of Zoe and River, Luke was high school jock-extraordinaire. He could master any type of sport and loved to pass that down to his girls the year or so he lived with them. Luke never forgets birthdays and always buys whatever either of the twins needs. In the back of both the twins' minds, they know it's because he feels guilty for not being there. But Luke always tries to connect with his daughters with constant phone calls, texts, or IMs. Neither River or Zoe have the heart to tell him that "I <3 you -dad" is not a cool message to have on your facebook page.
  
  
• River Deths{twin sister}- River may have been born first, but Zoe took over for her sister the moment the two were born. River's a shy, self-contained person who relies much more on Zoe than Zoe relies on her. However, she's the brains behind the operation. Any flaws in Zoe's plans are quickly flushed out by River's thorough thinking.
  
  
• Naomi Billman{aunt}- Naomi somehow convinced River to go to some school which Zoe couldn't care less about. Zoe is definitely not Naomi's biggest fan, but she's still family.
  

Personality

If you want to start a fight with Zoe, all you have to do is disagree with her. It's her way or a highway covered in thumbtacks and mousetraps. Her favorite words are "Tough shit". By living with a pushover as a twin, Zoe's used to being the boss no matter what the situation. She tries to be in charge all the time, even when sometimes she just needs to back off. River tries to warn her sister when these moments are happening, but Zoe tends to ignore her unless River's having a 'moment'.

Zoe does have, however, a caring side that's reserved only for River and her boy toy of the month. Even though Zoe's technically younger, she takes care of River through thick and thin. She's gentle, loving, and very careful with how she talks to her during the though times. The boys get a different caring side. They don't see what River sees. Zoe likes to show them the physical side of 'love'. She loves to party with a different boy every couple of weeks. Being dumped doesn't borther her as much as it does other girls, but deep down, it still hurts.

Appearance

Zoe may not be the prime picture of health, like her sister, but she's got something better. Curves. All over. She's still fit, however River's hips don't swing the sexy way that Zoe's do and her shirts aren't as snug in the chest area. These 'assets' were the raw materials to Zoe's complete look. Dressed top to bottom in cheap, fashionable clothes, she looks as if she shops in New York. Her style is bright. Bright colors. Bright patterns. Bright everything. The more skin, the better, too. If it doesn't need to be covered up you can bet that it's not on Zoe.

Zoe's hair is slightly shorter than her sister's but she doesn't like her hair too long while River does. Soft curls, ironic considering her personality, flow down to her shoulders in a dark brown hue. Most of the time, she lets her hair down unless its required. Even then, the rules don't always concern Zoe.

History

The first word out of Zoe Deths' mouth was "mine!". She and River had both been reaching for the same toy, twin senses kicking in at the age of 16 months, and Zoe shouted the word at the top of her young lungs to let her twin know that the sky blue block was off limits. However, Zoe shared after River started crying from the outburst. But that marked the beginning of Zoe Deths' rule. She was a tyrant to other toddlers, often screaming and crying if she didn't get her way. Her mother was at her wits end. She thought that New York was having an effect on her children and moved them out into the countryside of Ohio.

Zoe hated Ohio. The cows, and there was bunches of them, stared at her. River loved those stupid things and Zoe never understood. It's a miracle that Zoe can remeber those blank eyes watching her every move. It was even worse, however, in Maine. Zoe believed she was meant for fame, parties, and shopping. Not for chores, animals, and scooping poop. And that was exactly what Aunt Naomi's farm consisted of.

Zoe fell into a good social circle at school and worked her way up the ranks to top circle in the span from 1^st grade to 6^th. River eventually fell alongside her sister in terms of friends, but Zoe could tell she would be having trouble and help her out by introducing her. It just wasn't River's cup of tea. So Zoe let River be River and do her own thing. That was her mistake.

It was a problem the first time Zoe saw her twin riding a new horse. "Look, Zo! I've got my very own horse!" It was devestating. Zoe pleaded with River to give the stupid creature up and be a ballerina instead (being a ballerina didn't require one's sister to help wiht barn chores). It was even worse when Naomi said that getting a horse for Zoe would help her adapt. Zoe ranted to the mother that she didn't want a horse. That it was a stupid idea. That it wouldn't get taken care of properly. But she fell in love with the 'stupid creature' the minute it came crashing out of it's trailer. Only a few years behind River, Zoe started to ride. She's the top teen Western rider in her town in Maine. But that doesn't seem to be enough for Zoe. So she's joined with River to travel across the ocean to Windsor.
