MADDI'S SUCKUMENTARY! Woooo... or not so wooo. I AM SO EXCITED I ACTUALLY GET TO START ONE OF THESE! It's AMAZING! Technically, my summer started on Friday afternoon after World Religions exam, but it didn't really hit me until today. BECAUSE I GOT TO SLEEP IN. Oh my god, it was incredible. (: Okay.. I'll start with yesterday.
monday, june 21st
Today was kinda-sorta eventful. My mom drove me in to school (at the ungodly hour of 8 am) to the local strip mall place called Centrum (it has like 234583256085268 restaurants, along with shoe/electronic/book/pet/movie/misc. stores, along with a movie theatre and a Wal-Mart) so I walked around for a little while and settled in Chapters for the morning. I had a Frappacino and walked around until it was time to go back to school, then got a ride with my friend from school to my friend's house. We had a little "thank God school is OVER" party, with swimming and such. I also (finally) got to meet my friend's not-boyfriend, whom I cannot tell if they are still together or not. It was a pretty fun... it was really hot and so nice!
Will post more later, hopefully something more interesting will happen. (: Either that or it will be just suck, haha.

before today
I forgot to write about the 'Peg here! Dah, horrible. So I went to Winnipeg from the 30th to July 4th. It was tons of fun! We only did a big of sightseeing, and I'll tell you right now - Winnipeg is not much. But it was the event that we went for. We went to do a big gymnastics group routine, and it went so well! It wasn't a competition, just a show, but the top 8 (out of 30 something) groups got to perform in the closing ceremonies, and we did it! It was really an awesome trip.
friday, july 9th
I have had a slightly craaaazy week. It started off with trying out yoga on Tuesday. Okay, maybe that wasn't really that crazy, but it was cool. My BFF and I decided to try out yoga, and I love it! It's so relaxing. The next day I had a lesson with my trainer, and it was SO. FREAKING. HOT. We rode for 30 minutes, and by the time we were done, my horse, Syd, was DRENCHED with sweat. It was horrid! But the lesson went really well. We got a flying lead change for the first time! I was so proud. Then, later that day, I went to my other friend's house for a party. We watched this disgusting slug movie where they eat people and... uhhhggg... -shivers- The party was fun, though. We decided to walk to the park at 11 pm, and a few of the guys kept trying to scare us. It was lame, haha.
The next most exciting thing is BLUESFEST! Considering you guys aren't from where I'm from, I'll explain. Bluesfest is a ginormous outdoor concert with tons of different stages and singers and bands playing. It used to be all blues, but now it's just kind of any music. It's pretty awesome! Last night, I saw the B-52's, and they were so good! I'm also seeing Down With Webster, Metric, Marianas Trench, Tokyo Police Club and Stars! It's so wonderful. (: The B-52's were incredible last night... I couldn't hear through my ears after all the screaming.
Tonight is my BFF's pool party. It's going to be awesome, I think! Then the rest of the week is Bluesfest. It's going to be a good week.
Now, for some pictures!

Weeeeeird that you got drenched! Well, I guess you do live in Australia, so it makes sense your weather has no correlation with ours, haha. (: That sucks about the freaky horses! Yeah, Justie, my trainer was like "There's no way I'm letting you ride him for a full hour right now... you'd kill him!" Poor Syd. Southern Canada/Northern US get the worst weather - extremely cold winters, sweltering summers.
Oh, and I forgot to mention in my last entry, my dad bought me a CAR! YAYYYYYYY! My great aunt is selling her car and buying a new one, and the garage was going to give her nothing for it. So I have a car now! It's a black 2004 Honda Civic. I loooooove it. It's standard, but I'm taking VERY overdue Driver's Ed (I've had my G1 for more than a year, now) next week and all my in-cars are on a standard car. So I'll learn. HERE is a picture of the car I have. This one isn't mine, but it's the exact same make/year/colour, haha. (:

lucky duck, maddi! your own car!! that sucks that it's standard. i don't think i could ever drive standard to save my life. good luck with your driver's ed. i hope you meet some awesome people. i like driving our honda CR-V, cause it sits up high. but my dad says that i'm getting the 1994 (that's when i was born! geez! lol) ford taurus. but that's okay, cause it seats a total of eight people. we call it the granny wagon (cause my grandma had it first) and the party wagon (cause it will seat basically all my friends...geesh, which might not be saying much). c:

Yeah, I'm excited but not at the same time. I want to get out of the house more but I don't want to sit in a boring classroom haha. YAY for the granny wagon! My car's new name is Betty Black, or Black Betty if you like Ram Jam. (Haha, music joke P:)
